Earlier this week we kicked off our inaugural edition of our new "Screenshot of the Week" community feature, this time focusing on RIFT themed screenshots.
After reviewing all of your submissions this week we are excited today to announce our first "Screenshot of the Week" winner!
Congratulations to wrzosek, this week's "Screenshot of the Week" winner! Wrzosek will be receiving a new RIFT t-shirt and beanie, as well as a End of Nations t-shirt as his prize.
Wrzosek submitted a screenshot depicting three different rifts (earth, air, and death) all going at the same time. Impressive!

doesn't that sort of point to how redundant rifts are in Rift?
Not playing Rift anymore and didn't take a part in this event but I did check the screenshots posted by other users and, in my opinion, there were MUCH better candidates with much richer / interesting choices of screenshots.

It certainly doesn't make rift look good even though it is. Though I think the reason it won is because finding 3 different rifts like that is fairly hard to do. Congrats.

Looks like a very ugly screenshot to me. As an artist it makes me cringe.
Man, that's darn ugly! Wish I had known about the competition. I have much better rift-themed screenshots than this one.

I review lots of indie games and MMORPGs
They chose this due to its concept and not its beauty, for me a screenshot should be a cool advert for the game regarding its graphical appearance. but it depends on what the judges are looking for, maybe that should be outlined in the next competition, wether the screenshot is based more on looks or graphical content or wether its the concept or unique snapshot of an instance in the game. The best are the ones that capture both, but I must admit I will always lean towards a screenshot with more detail and graphical content than concept. Congrats to the winner however.
3 Rifts and No Players ... that's about right. (sorry, had to go there).
