    Heres the link: http://secure.newegg.com/NewVersion/WishList/WishDetail.asp?position=HISTORY&ID=1579110&WishListTitle=MY+PC

It will cost me around $1,030 without adding anything or getting a better processor. Let me know if you think the power source is good enough and what are your suggestions for a processor. I could just get a better processor and keep my 2 gb of ram so it will run faster.

Grim, where did you get those wire wraps?

I just put another system together and I have wires everywhere.  I need some nice wraps.  Enermax power supplies are good, but they have too much excess wire!

    Time to go modular... mmmmm

for one your motherboard only has 3 ram slots and your getting 4 sticks of ram so your going to have an extra one. 2.just go for the 1 gig and an amd athalon 64 becouse you can get a 3000 + or so with the money you save(if you want amd) .3. if you got a different motherboard you could get a SATA hard drive which is suposadly faster .4. spend less on the optical drive and upgrade another component (couldnt find SATA optical drive but if you can get a different motherboard and use serial ata.)  how does that all add up to 1030?? but if you want it to cost that much improve some things.

as for the other guy, i didnt buy sleeves, the wires are stick like that with an xconnect powersupply and i bought an ide wire for 3 dollars.

First off grim I'm only gettin 2 sticks of ram *They are 1 gb each*.

Second my mobo has 4 ram slots.

Third a AMD 3000+ is the processor Im gettin

Fourth what do you mean optical drive don't you mean harddrive?

Fifth it adds up to $1,030 by the lil numbers on the bottom of the screen and how much it costs.

I did hear that SATA drives are nice though. Did you even look at the link? Hit me back with a reply.

    ARGH!!!!

I posted a bunch of thoughts but they didn't go through....

    Ok... summary...

Buy PC3200 and not PC2700.  Take advantage of the higher FSB with the dual channeling on the 939.

Buy a modular power supply.  They look much cleaner in the case and you only use what you need.

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?Submit=Go&DEPA=0&type=&description=modular+power+supply&Category=0&minPrice=&maxPrice=&Go.x=0&Go.y=0

Are you getting an SLI board for future upgrades or are you actually buying two video cards?  If neither, why get it?  Otherwise, what kind of features do you really like on that board?  You can get SLI nForce4 939 boards cheaper.

I can't stand the over alien plastic front end of those cases, but that little digital read out on top is cool. :D  I don't need a case that can headbutt my dog.  I prefer a nice full tower because of the space involved. :)

I like the Coolermaster Wavemaster for a mid-tower thought.  Nice clean look and *all* aluminum.  If you get the unpainted version it has a brushed aluminum face.

looks good to me, except you arent going to read or write cds??

I know im and asus fanboi, but you can get the same thing with asus plus better integrated audio for less, also a couple more small features like more pci slots,.

     compare

If that post is for me which I think it is then I wanna get the SLI board so that I can run 2 7800 gtx cards when I get the money. They said that they might switch the 7800's from SLI to normal but I dunno.

Hey, question .     When ever I start using my computer for gaming or something that isn't like just surfing the net or writing Doc. files, the fan (I think on the power unit) starts to go shity loud.  Ya'll think it's because it's workin' to hard, I don't have a high enough power unit?

    let me know, thanks.

r u sure its from the power supply. But on my other computer a wire slipped into the fan becouse of the suction, so that might be the problem. if its not that post again.

Newpro I think its just your fan going into overdrive. My fan goes all weird and stuff when Im playin video games on my pc for a while. The first time I got my video card workin I played Half Life 2 for about 8 hours and the pixels started to go haywire. You might wanna get some other opinions but I think its normal and if you dont like the sound of it you can always buy another power source or new fans. Post back Late

as fantom said, it might be your fan going into overdrive, you can check by downloading speedfan, then check the charts after your done playing and see if there was an increase in fan speed.
