Thinking of trying Rift. Is it solo friendly? Can you solo rifts or throughout the game? Thx
Yes you can solo rifts as long as you don't push it to certain ranks. I believe ranks like 5 & 6, are for group play, and would doom any soloer that doesn't outgrew the contents.
but the quest are solo friendly except the group quest. But they can also be overpowered if you know what you are doing.
you can also solo queue for all the Instanced PvP. So unlike Guild Wars and WoW, it doesn't have any forms of PvP which you would need to establish a group before getting to play it.
dungeons on the other hand usually can't be soloed. The Chronicles can if you overpower them, but that's rare because it depends on gear and spec.which is something that vary from player to player character.
Rift is a pretty great game. I would even call it, MMO of the year (2011). Hope that helps
