The best 2d game out there?

Basicly my first online game was Legend of mir2 i played it for about 3 years. Then moved onto some 3d games and then eventually onto Legend of mir3 another 2d game. Out of all the 3d games i played only a couple have had the playability of the 2d games ive tried. So basicly what are your favourite 2d games?
P.S I dont want everyone saying runescape or any of the other free games im talking about 2d game people acctually pay to play not the games people are to cheap to pay for

Ultima Online, even though I play in "3d" now...
Ultima Online is easily my favorite MMO of all time. So, I'd have to say it's my faorite 2d MMORPG.
Well technically, the "best" 2d MMORPG is Lineage: The Bloodpledge, which holds the record for most subscriptions worldwide for any other MMORPG.
But "best" in a personal sense is just an opinion. I've had a LOT of fun from Lineage (played it for over 6 years), but it's definately not for everybody.
