Thought you had escaped from taris rakghouls?!

    THINK TWICE !!!!!!!!

I really dont see many guilds exalted by new flashpoints/operations, many though are for new warzones and pvp fixed/balances

But then, I play in a pvp server

I guess it's because this isn't really 'new' content, it was content that they had been working on for launch but didn't get done in time to ship.

Or that the deliberatly left out in order to cynically have something to keep the hype rolling in the second month of the game.

    You choose.

Either way, what will be interesting is when they will deliver once they have run out of this stuff and actually have to start paying to produce those expensive content updates from scratch from the profit made. I think that will be the time when we see their true colours.

    Point made. That was fast.

I want a mmorpg where people have gone through misery, have gone through school stuff and actually have had sex even. -sagil

Really?   So now they have turned to using Zombies to sell their game?  It's nice to see those high res textrures being put to good use though - somewhere.   :)

Come on, this seems kind of petty and ignorant of SW lore, don't you think? Rakghouls have been a part of SW Extended Universe lore for a long time now and were also part of KOTOR, so it's a nice continuation and link to KOTOR this way.

Exactly, though this particular FP, from what it seems, is going for a survival horror-ish vibe.   I'm kind of excited to play it.

The extended universe also has 4 teenagers, who can each control one of the four elements ; fire, earth, water and air. Will 'Rise of the Elementalists' be coming next?

There is a great many crappy things in the expanded universe.  Zombies are just one of them.

And I don't care that it zombies were in KOTOR. They still aren't Star Warsy or iconic.

Well, they aren't zombies, they are rakghouls, they were in KOTOR which was a prequel to SWTOR and which was regarded one of the best SW games that have been released, and there are plenty of examples of possession, compulsion and other Sith corruption influences throughout all the SW lore to have Rakghouls and the Sith engineered Rakghoul plague firmly anchored into the Star Wars setting.

This is a continuation of KOTOR, which had rakhgouls.

Bioware can make a rakhgoul flashpoint as they please.

    Oh my god...

I was so hoping they wouldn't stoop down to exploitation of current trends, but they sure hurried it up. Zombies are all the rage now, so we must have them in Star Wars? Sweet Jesus. What's next? Dragons? Give us the possibility to exchange our Force powers for Fus Ro Dah shouts, and give us at least one "arrow in the knee" skill. Well, if we'll jump on trendy, flavor-of-the-month bandwagon, why not, right?

The only thing that bothers me about this (as with all subscription-based games) is that I'm kinda forced to subsidize other people's play style.  I'm not interested in warzones or flashpoints, and I really don't like paying for it.

I am glad to see that a new flashpoint is comming out. And while a few old tarts might not like the whole "zombie" vibe and deem it not "star warsy and iconic" it seems to me that the licensing department of Lucas Empire did and that is good enough for me. And at least they had a good zombie proxy, instead of defaulting to a normal zombie like SWG did with the death troopers.

This have been a good conversation

The only other thing I'll say about this is that BioWare was using Zombies before Zombies were cool. Can't fault them for bringing in  a creature they created for their KOTOR univerise ages ago.

Yeah people really need to look into things before spouting off. They created these in the expanded lore ages ago.

The new flashpoint in my understanding is one a new planet which im gonna assume will have some story based pve content u can do solo much like illum

That said everyone is paying for whatever content bioware chooses to release. Oh and the first content came out before u ever pay a dime in sub.

They are working on pvp and things. just because u dont like something doesnt mean others dont. i for one like flashpoint but arent usually big on pvp

i dont get upset when wow adds a pvp update. Although nerfing my class in pve when the reasons for the nerf was pvp bugged the heck out of me.

That said its nice tos ee bioware releasing new content this early. Im so used to wow taken 3 months or more for ap atch that its a bit of fresh air.

I know trion changed the way players expect updates with rift but its nice to see bioware going at rifts content rate not wows.
