You have to hand it to trion for the astonishing updates they get out, and every one so far has given decent additions - other games would charge you for these type of updates as expansion packs!
Lol just think, at this rate if it carries on and lasts as long as WOW there would be about 120 T1/T2 dungeons, 60 Raids and the game would have quadrupled in size!

Theyve only added 2 (or 1 depending how you look at it) dungeon since launch and only added 2 20 man raids, one of which was the first month. What theyve added has been impressive, but not as astonishing as everyone makes it out to be. If that expansion does not come out relatively soon it will mean that this development has come at the expense of expansion development. Remember, Kunark was bigger than all of Rift as it stands now combined and it came 13 months out (while 3 raid zones were added inbetween)
Want to realize how screwed this genre is just read this blob. It is a sad day when content is only measured by the number of raids you release. Last I checked you guys were crying Rift had too much raiding and now it does not have enough.
You really need me to go down the list of what was actually added.
Has there been talk about any expansion for Rift, does anybody know?One guy linked some screen shots he took when we guess they were testing something and did not lock it. Nothing verified here, but some of the stuff suggest possible housing. At this point I would not put it past Trion to announce something.

I'm still quite astonished that they start their RP enchancement from the in-game weddings.
As far as I know you still cannot even sit on chairs so do the guys attending the ceremony stand through it all or sit on the floor?
I don't really like the wedding thing either at this point but at least the RP crowd isn't being ignored. That is something all in its own. Most companys wouldnt put in any effort for the RP crowd minus maybe a few a events here and there.

World Raids - 2 new ones on Ember Isle
Dungeon's - Darkening Deeps Master, Caduceus Rise, Upper Caduceus Rise, Chronicle of Attunement, The Fallen Prince, Runes of Corruption (Last 3 are duo/single instanes) +Another Dungeon+duo dingeon in next patch.
My point still being though, do yoU get a new dungeon and/or raid every patch from any other mmorpg out there today?

So if all you like to do is endlessly grind raids for gear to endlessly grind gear for more raids then ya your all set. Or did I mention endliessly grinding dailys or endlessly grinding adiventures.
I lasted about 30 days at end game due the incredibly boring raids and endliess amount of dailes pawned off as world events.
You just said that you don't like anything there is to do at end game in MMO's.
What would you like to do once you reach the level cap?
Or are you one of those guys that would rather "endlessly grind" levels, or "endlessly grind" world pvp, or "endlessly grind" seiges?
It's funny cause all this time I was expecting MMORPGs to be about playing "enlessly" in a persistant world.
Please feel free to point to an MMO that doesn't have "endless grinding" when you reach the level cap in some way, shape, or form.
Might have to check it out.
Surprised they didn't make the return over MLK holiday weekend instead of Jan 19-22.
They usually bring the servers down on Wed. mornings, and that's when the patch is supposed to release.
I'm actually suprised they aren't doing it the following weekend. That would at least give them 2 days to sort any strange things that may crop up with such a huge patch.
I've just had a couple of days of free play. It ended last night. You mean I have another three days free coming up end of the week?!
EWE!! Guess I wont be switching my favor to marks. Patch is coming sooner than I expected. Im currently r7 with around 320k prestige to go. Was hoping to get r8 this weekend. Looks like that isnt gonna happen. May as well pop off all the favor pots I have been saving. Build that favor up!

It's 01:22 am CET and it says I'm not entitled to play the game (account already created and login accepted) on a European server. So it's not starting at 00:00 CET but at 00:00 USA east coast?
Well, it's after 10 in the morning now in the UK and I'm still not entitled to play. So it didn't start at 00:00 east coast time either. Not in the UK anyway.
Since the TORtanic sank yesterday I'm eager to get back into Rift. At least for the free weekend. Still can't log in though. Oh well...
I was thinking of trying Rift again, nice of Trion to offer another free time peroid

Doesn't seem like it. There's a discussion on another forum about this, people wondering why they can't log in yet. Mdday here now and still no access. They really should have been more specific if it starts at some arbitrary time during the day.
Just tried to log in at 14:30 CET, still not entitled. Agree with your last post they should state the exact time for Europe and NA. A good idea was authorization just after the new patch at 02:30.
Edit : I can't post in their forum after successfully logging in because I'm not authorized. Maybe because my account is deactivated ? But the OP there was made by someone with the same "not entitled" problem after successfully logging in the game so hasn't an activated account too. Hmpf, patience is a virtue
