WTF Some servers down for 24 hours

That is crap to think servers down for 24 hours and no comp time. Never even heard of some servers going down. To think I left daoc after toa, went to wow stayed there until few weeks after bg release, left cause didnt really feel like starting from 0 on new server to goto wow and this happens 2nd day back. 
. To top it off forums are down to see what servers are down. Whatever

Should be 2 Eastern. 1 central, 12 mountain, 11 Pacific.
Why Blizzard uses pacific standard time while making these estimates is beyond me, but it takes half a second to do the math to check what time frame you're looking at.

I thought the Server boxers were physically in Rhode Island or something on the east cost, but no matter.

Ok, you got us. WoW only has 3 servers, a regular, PvP and a RP server. No matter what server you click on you end up going to one of these 3 servers, you may get different character screens, but you still end up in the same world. And truth be told, we don't have 3.5 million customers, in fact we only have 270, all the WoW posts you've ever read and replied to where most likely made by a special program that we wrote to help promote our game. All the players you run into while in game are bots with slightly more AI than the mob bots. Ever wonder why Leeroy just ran into that room full of eggs? Another marketing ploy of ours.

I was like 10 feet from the Inn to get Rest points for this. During maintenaince can you guys consider giving us rest credit. OR put a message accross the screen warning us your taking server down in a few minutes giving us time to run to Inn. Some of us dont monitor Chat all the time. Some of us dont live by WOW maintenance schedules either so a simple line accross screen would be cool if possible. Just something to consider please. I will try and be more concious of schedule times. I dont wanna start an argument here and last post people took every oppurtunity they could to flame. For the record this is a very cool site and I appreciate the effort put into keeping mmorpg peops current on whats goin on in the mmorpg worlds. Thanks and Im sorry if last post was taken wrong. Cya.

unluckey, our server here in europe are alwasy only down for a max of 7 -10 hours, normally for 4-5 hours for usaul miantance. It has to be a hard where thing. As out's is standard 5 hours today.

The servers go down for weekly maintenence everey Tuesday. Its nothing new. These select servers are being taken down for an extended period because so many gamers complained that there were issues with them. So they need to assess any problems and fix them. It happened before in January as well if you weren't around in the game then. Blizzard then took the servers down for 24hrs and then credited those players with an additional 4 days to their suscription. Take a day off and get some free money.....stop whining.
Well Anindel, you win the prize for being the first name caller/flamer on the post. Probably the only. No one is whining it was a question or kinda a suggestion. If its no its no. No big deal. Yes we should know when the servers are comming down and stick ourselves in the Inn. Thing is we get caught up in the game and miss the time.

Wait is someone complaining about wow and there weekly server reboots. yes thats right they dont fix anything they just shutdown and then restart them after a chunk of time has gone by
K Im really sorry all this was generated from the original post. So are we gonna get rested credit while server is shut down for maintenance? Jus wonderin. .... If not ok im not gonna complain. It would be nice though.
