Called "The Awakening", the expansion sees an upgraded AI included, a new user interface, added dungeons and creatures, identify skills added to the game. No time frame on when this will be implemented, but according to the details of this expansion, they are hitting on some of the most important areas of the game.

    Definitely looking forward to this.

It all sounds neat, but so did the rest of the game before launch. :/

Devs always promise much more will be added "as time goes on". It is the delivery they have a problem with...

Let see ,so far most of there patch has been bug ridden mess. How is this expansion going to differ from Dawn ?

Well they selected a group of people from the forum to be their patch testers and thanks to that the Territorial controll patch wasn'ta bug ridden mess, so ther is hope that the testers iron out most of the bugs before they release it

I'm not playing, will probably never do.  But i'm reading MMORPG forum and so far all the patches in that game  have resulted in more bugs and downtime then before.  Each patch breaks more things then fixes.  Devs can keep promising stuff, so far they only deliver broken stuff each and every time.

I know that's the trendy remark to leave on a forum, but can you please be more specific.  For instance, using the last patch as an example, what did it fix, and what did it break?  Be specific, and perhaps we can count how many fixes versus how many breaks.

While they have had a number of problems with their patches in the past, especially the large ones, in my opinion the Focus Group they have testing now have done a great job in ensuring the recent patches were not overly problematic, at least no more so than the average patch for any other game.

Not quite sure how you can comment on a game that you have never played and aren't planning to play in the future...but I believe this happens more times than not on this and other forums. As a current MO player, it seems to me that the dev team has turned a corner. Hopefully the team at MO will keep moving forward...adding more and more quality content to an entertaining (albeit incomplete) sandbox game. They still have plenty of work ahead of them. Excited to see how this next expansion goes. I have played numerous sandbox style games, most recently eve (current sub) and darkfall(now there is a mess). MO is quickly becoming one of my favorites. I'd suggest more folks give it a shot with the trial.

LOL I'm sorry but you are calling Darkfall a mess? Compaired to WoW, TOR etc sure but compaired to MO? Really?

BTW I did try to buy it but they couldn't even get that part right.

EDIT to stay on-topic: I do hope they get their shit together and actually bring a real product to the table. I am all for sandbox games but MO is really just a pay-for-beta game at this point. IF this "expantion" works then I might try again.

Darkfall and Mortal Online are two Ugly mess....

But yea like any small game compagnies, They Dont always get as many men as they wish they could to fix or prevent bugs before patches go live.... so they turn to their player base to "fix" anything that as been damaged as time goes on...

Then comes the problem where if they spend too much time trying to fix Mild bugs, No content is announced, nothing goes forward, and people leave...

both DF and MO are good Games in their respective Indie Sandbox Area...

But ill not pay for any of them untill some Core Changes are made.

Good Luck to the MO team tho with their new patch it does sound fun, if they can acheive it

Yes, DF is a mess...perhaps I should add in my original comment that AV is a mess.  Server wipes for DF 2.0?  DF 2010?  I'd say AV is in pretty bad shape.  I'd love to eat my words as I had a great time in DF...right up until server wipes became a real possibility and game updates became fewer and fewer as well as less frequent.

In reality, the sandbox genre is in need of some major love.
