Good beginner resources?

I had tried Dofus before and didn't like it, so I'm not sure what made me try out Wakfu. I did though, and now I find I'm liking it. I can't quite put my finger on why I like it, I just do.

Does anyone have links, tips, etc for beginners? I checked their forums for guides, but it's pretty sparse at the moment.

Current: None
Played: WoW, CoX, SWG, LotRO, EVE, AoC, VG, CO, Ryzom, DF, WAR
Tried: Lineage2, Dofus, EQ2, CoS, FE, UO, Wurm, Wakfu
Future: The Repopulation, ArcheAge, Black Desert, EQN

I was searching Dofus site when i was playing the CB. They are basically the same game so those guide's work equally well.

"People are stupid; given proper motivation, almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People's heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true. People are stupid; they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so are all the easier to fool."

I've found a lot via the forums actually. The wakfu wiki at wikia has helped a lot as well. I've seen couple of other English sites (databases) that might reach useful state later.

One important thing to remember is that the game has been through couple of big overhauls and you should check the date of any information as you read it. Last wipe and big patch was Jan 4th I think (I haven't played very long myself) but a lot of 2011 info still seems to hold as well.

Another thing is that you can set yourself a lot of goals within the game but most of them will involve leveling your character (grinding monster xp) or leveling crafting skills (not tied to character level but depending on craft you may need to kill stuff). If you want quest-like goals then see the achievements, especially the story ones.

Finally, spell xp is low in current version, at least until 20 or 25. If you want to focus on a damage spell, I recommend only giving the xp to 1-2 spells early. The alternative is mostly using a weapon attack while remembering to use 1 (utility?) spell so spell xp isn't wasted. Depending on class and your spell levels the weapons might offer pretty good damage.

Thanks for the tips. I'll go through the forums again, and check out the Wakfu wiki.

I've tried most of the classes now, and have pretty much settled on a sacrier using air spells mostly. I was never a fan of turn-based fighting, but I'm enjoying the strategy in it with Wakfu's implementation.
