Guild Wars Insider just put up a clip teaser about their interview with the system designers. At the last few seconds, someone says, "We've got Siege Suits..."

We have already seen asura in what could qualify as 'mechs'... wouldn't be a stretch
I'd rather you told us about the actual podcast, when it's available, instead of being teased like this
Like a... rather big armor you wear to a siege? What's so exciting about that?
Siege suits? trebuchets in WvWvW with such a long range that special coding was needed to even see the boulder incoming?

I have to wonder if they're talking about this or possibly something bigger/better specifically for WvW?
I believe they are talking about a totally seperate entity as the hazmat suit is a pve item that can be used during DE's for the fun of it.
I dont want to speculate to much... but the fact that they have to get some of the stuff approved means that there is surely some new info in there. I can't wait

Well, on first or 2nd trailer we seen asura who jumped out from such suit so everything is possible as most of scenes were created live ingame.
Yeah but those suits have already been in game via the asura racial ability and the hatmat suit drop you can but from karma vendors.
What Im hoping for is that they are talking about something completely different and much much larger. If you are going to do an interview and specifically say "we put mechs in WvWvW and its epic" then more than likely you are talking about something different... otherwise it would just be kind of a So? moment

About the suits on the GW 2 guru forum there was a post about different "mechs" I do remember there being a pictures of a huge one showcased, which brings me to believe that might be the siege suit(it was gangsta as hell by the way.)

Same like as a fan of sci fi who is open minded to not only like sci fi and dislike fantasy in which that means I like both, I actually like how it's not pure technology, but I like how Asura's have holo tech and suits and engineers now that's just me, it feels like a jack of all trades for [me].
I also like the lore in explaining why it's there lol, it isn't there for no reason but it has lore which makes sense to [me]
I'd never imagine them putting in golems that look like mechs in a fantasy MMORPG.
But when I look back at Perfect World and WoW it can make sense and not be a bad thing.

I remember in an interview thay asked Colin which was his favorite dynamic event and he mentioned one where cows do indeed get catapulted. I think it's in the Charr area and called the 'Cattlepult.' I don't know if the players themselves get to use said cattlepult but I know in a second or third branch of the event you get to place wagers as to where the cows will land and you can win cow tokens you can use to buy things like cow bells. Haven't got a link tho...it's from some time ago so things might have changed.
