Thank You for your interest in joining Windhund , the following information should help you determine whether or not Windhund would be a good fit with your values, background, and play style.
Windhund's mission is To Achieve our Full Potential as Wargamers via Teamwork and Training.
Key Windhund Values and Facts
1. Wargames die but the Wargamer in us lives forever. Hence, we are a multi-gaming community interested in attracting friendly, mature, and long term members.
2. Windhund in SWTOR is on The Twin Spears (US) and Hex Droid (EU) Servers, both commanded by a full range of Officers and Senior members who are there to help you become acclimated to Windhund and make the most out of you SWTOR experience. Both servers are PvP Environments and we are Empire yet, will be forming Republic guilds as well for our alts in the near future.
3. Highly experienced at fighting together in large teams in PvP environments. In fact, this is where we shine due to we seek and attract members with a team-player attitude rather than prima donnas.
4. Ranks in Windhund are there to recognize the level of responsibility of the member and never used to wield power over other members. At the end of the day, we are a fictitious representation of a once real Wehrmact Panzer Division, fighting on imaginary battlefields, [b]but our members are real and we do our best to take care of one another.[/b]
5. By all Windhund members meeting a minimum standard we are elite but never elitist. Expect to dedicate 2 hours of effort into the initial training that will help you become acclimated into the way Windhund Functions.
6. International Organization with Members from over 30 countries, 500 members strong.
7. Healthy mix of veterans, active duty, and civilians.
8. 18+ to join unless you know in real life an adult member and are sponsored by them.
9. Real Life comes first and that is always respected.
10. Roughly half our membership is college educated and our humor has not advanced far beyond. ;-)
11. Windhund is our name in SWTOR which is the nickname of the 116 Panzer Division

The Pskov Medal is awarded to any 116 member who have achieved 5,000 tank battles in World of Tanks with over 5,000 tank kills.
The aforementioned members are helpful and dedicated to helping new 116 members hone their tanking skills.

It is awarded for being number 1 in a game we deploy in. Black Jack won it in 2009 for being part of the World Champion Croation IL2 Strumovik Team.
Over 50 116 members have placed in the top 1000 in world of tanks or higher earning themselves awards ranging from The Iron Cross to The Knights Cross with Oak Leaves, Swords, and Diamonds (for being in the top 50).
Many of these members are now deployed in SWTOR focused on becoming a tight knit PVP unit. Come and help us if you will!
