Yes it does but that can be fun, the only thing is when you hit post searing, leaving town by yourself is suicide not even worth attempting.  That is one of the reasons I quit.  But its free, so can expect it to be perfect. Just wish that there were more classes. Diablo II with expansion has more and that game is old.

    Thanks

I leave town post searing ascalon solo all the time, u must not be doing something right.

There are 6 classes with 6! combinations.  Way more possiblities than diablo II.

GW PvE is easy. Just remember:

    1) Take/Join a balanced group. 2 primary monks max, any more and you reduce your team's damage output.

    2) Always attack enemy healers first with concentrated fire.

    3) Ensure at least one elementalist has Ward Against Melee (once your at/past the point where they can reasonably be expected to have it).

    4) If you are going to 'run' from mobs, first try backing away or sidestepping. Running with your back to an opponent is an automatic critical hit.

    5) Elementalists tank better than Warriors. Tanks are all but useless for anything other than farming.

    6) There are no time limits*. Take your time, let your casters regain energy, don't pull too much, listen to your team.

If you follow all 6, you shouldn't have any problems.

*ok, so there are time limits on the desert missions and part of sanctum cay, but even there a well executed strategy works wonders.

    ---sig---

PvE in general is pretty lame, if you think long and hard about it. You are spending your time beating a severely gimped AI that would lose to a well trained monkey. Best not to think too long and hard why you are wasting time playing games in general actually...

well as you notice i wasnt talking about post searing , or pve , ... the game is hard , and thats it

thats why many people dont like to play it .

they blame comunity , they blame lack os everything , the true reason is , they cant play it ..

blame cumunity is like blaming the world for being a loser .

im not saying the game is not good , people here are adicted to flame from wow players ..

i dont play wow , and never will ... im playing gw , 505 hours , 2 months

i had my own guild only with real life old friends , now joined a 30 + guild ...

i know i have about 10 times what i know to learn about the skills and tecnics of teamwork

    6 * 6 = caracter types ... ok sounds not much ...

    lets make this numbers huge

    team builds

if 8 person , 36 types of char possible ... that makes

    8*8*8*8*8*8*8*8*8*8*8*8*8*8*8*8*8*8*8*8*8*8*8*8*8*8*8*8*8*8*8*8*8*8*8*8 = possible team builds

now dare to say guildwars is easy , simple and ridiculus , and i will say , you didnt play it yet ...

in most mmorpgs there are a ton of choices which = tons of different groups and ways to have it so i really dont think you can use that as a reason why guild wars is hard most of my friends played guild wars and quit cause they can level to fast.

Guild wars is disgusting - u cant pk ! (player kill - getting peoples items in the wilderness etc) its terrible gameplay!  its distasteful and if any of you dont kno what pk means .. its completly different to pvp ..pvp is boring... you dont get peoples items u just get boring faction

One of the many reasons I enjoy playing GW is for this fact... The ability to hire henchmen.  You are not FORCED to group with real players.  The only two missions that require this that I know of are in pre-searing, and you have the option of not doing those.  However, in order to get your rez sig, you need too image

However, I would highly recommend becoming involved in grouping with other players, it provides comic relief sometimes, sometimes some roleplayers (which is great! image), sometimes a learning experience and yes... sometimes nothing but frustration image

The point is, you are NOT required to speak with ANYONE the entire length of play... good luck!

true enough. As ive said, you only are required a henchman at PvE. But at PvP a henchman for a party is not such a good idea

Well, actually you can "solo" a long way (if not all the way) through the missions with the aid of Npc henchmen - recruitable in the cities.
