Damn what a bunch of lyers in this topic. SWTOR is failing hard on almost every aspect, and ya in Europe playcount is steadily declining. In our guild we see less and less people login daily, and when they do they stay far less hours ingame then before. Lots of Jedi's get stuck around level 30, and reroll a ALT. Currently our only level 50's are the troopers and smugglers who have a blast at it (me including). There are NO que's at peaktimes and only a few PVP and our official RP server are ranked Very High at peak hours.
Ya, sure I'll stick around for some time but bummed my 3 months back to monthly payments to see if BW lives up to there promises. Too bad there is so much wrong in the MMO aspect of this game it's not even funny. TS stays tottaly unused due to the voiceovers, people hardly talk in chat. When you aproach someone in private and someone doesnt react back you get agitated. Not knowing the other person is in a cutscene and when back his log is allready pages gone from your whisper.
And the way we play, most of us anyway. Reaching Quest hub > take all quests available > go out and finish them > go back to hub hand in > sell stuff and put rewarded stuff on you or your companion > decide to go to next hub or quit! That can cost a casual player like me up to 2 till 4 hours, so the choice to go to another hub is most times easily made in weekends but not so on weekdays.
So now we as a guild a scattered around levels and areas all over. Some are 50 most are not. So when we all reach end game there will be another problem gearwise. Some will be ready to Hard Mode, rest needs to be geared towards that, so geared ones help us out, but meanwhile rushing thru the content and stories while others experience it for the first time.
People who are rushed to end see this all comming. Casual players don't and you see them here defending SWTOR to the end. But you should place your ingame /played here too after your rant to see if you have a viable point! (BTW /played 8 days, 14 hours, 25 minutes)
Ive had the game since it came out and i still love the game. That might be because my highest lvl is only 30.. and because ive switched servers several times. I play a few hours a day and i would probably get bored of it if i played anymore. atm the im going to be quiting after my month is up due to the fact that they havnt fixed one of the biggest bugs in the game. That bug is that i cant pvp, or enter buildings without have waves of lag hit my computer. It took me an hour to complete a mission that would of took no more tha 10, and what annoys me the most is that they have a new update coming out when theirs still a bunch of us that lag. ( not my comp, i surpass the game recommendations by a far shot.
SWTOR is just another dumbed down mmo. Its too limited, confined, and just lacks any features a true mmo should have. Its a sad game, and im not being one sided. It does have a few things i did like. But just rather play a star wars console game, because its the same crap, i just dont have to spend 15/month for it.
That is not an epic mmo. I think many here forget what a true mmo is and fight with everyone trying to defend a game they know in their hearts was a let down. 1+ years to polish that game, but was released in poor shape.
i dont understand why would someone go back to RIFT. it is so bad....i rather play COH/COV or simply cox.
alien invasion came from NCsoft....shame on you trion ! have some originity.
So instead of making vague remarks, why don't you state why you don't like Rift instead of simply expressing confusion as to why someone would go back to Rift. Me personally I'd love to give Trion my money and customer loyalty since they've shown game companies how you should interact and treat customers.
The reason I don't is I don't like how you can macro/script unlimited. I've seen what type of game play that causes long term in a multi-player rpg. It is one of my personal rules I won't negotiate on. Also the game world lore didn't draw me in. I just lacked that "something" that I am having trouble defining, to draw me in. That said I'd still have played if it wasn't for the script/macro set up. I have nothing again simple scripts/macros btw. Blizzard did a 'passing" job on preventing unlimited script/macros, it "is" one of the few things that I wish Trion had picked up from Blizzard.
Now see Binary_0011, was it that hard to state an opinion with reasons? Didn't take me but a moment to toss the above out, instead of making some sort of passive insult at that might want to go back to play Rift (at worst) and at best just simple bafflement on your part that someone would want to. (At best)
Personally I'd love to see a lot more of that sort of posting, debating going on where even if players don't agree at least they are laying out whys instead of what we tend to see. Things on a variation of "you suck if you like this game!" crap. Not that you did that btw, just stating one of my personal peeves since it does relate.
Everyone is entitle to his opinion, and i totally agree with him.
Cancelled my sub, as a old mmo player nothing new in swtor, gz to EA for the management and advertising, it's really a wonder how they manipulate the swtor fans ( and not, i mean i bought the game, thought it could be different ).
For new mmo players i would advise to play, no harm there. Its fun for all untill levels 20-25.
I'm just pissed cause they trapped people about the " new generation " mmo stuff .
Anyway fans will continue playing, rest will just be more careful in future i guess with there money.
Already moved on, I was very disappointed by this game overall and now feel a sucker for buying the CE
You and me both brother... what a waste of my money !!!
People did try to tell you what the game was like but the hype got the better i guess.
If you left the game why are you posting here, do you have some special need for attention that you are not getting at home? If you want pandas you know where to go, if you want to look at tiny dots on a black screen you know where to go, if you want clunky land battles and a game that is nothing like the great tv show you know where to go, if you want a korean grind fest you know where to go, if you want to play 20 great lvls and the rest of the game is crap you know where to go, and on and on, SWTOR players want a great story with fun combat , great voice overs and that immersive star wars world-yea baby
Lol.... if you want to run inbetween quest areas 5 minutes at a time, if you want to traverse imense landscapes with no point, if you want to listen to people tell you quests to collect 5 of those or disable 3 of these.. yeah you can pay for that.
This is by far the worst big name MMO, its hardly even an MMO. You generally see noone as you quest, so its very single playerish. World pvp doesnt happen except in designated areas, as oppsed top WoW where clashes would break out all the time Strangle Thorn Vale for example.
The actual PVP in this game is ass beyond belif and nothing will fix it. Its slow and items make no difference from lvls 10-49 where everyones stats are evened out so they can all PVP together. And all this because they didnt implement cross server PVP.
Flashpoint groups are nearly impossible to find ALREADY!!!. The game is just starting and I already cannot find groups for Flashpoints, for instance a lvl 37 Foundry Flashpoints, no chance.
Combat is the same as any other MMO, nothing new and actually quite bland. Also the skill trees are poorly designed at best. You generally skil a few shitty talents that noone gets and theres your build, same as everyone elses.
Legacy System..... its collecting experience but its not implemented yet. Soon maybe? This is BULLSHIT, they put out a game thats not even close to finished and want you to pay for them to develop it further. BUURN for that u cash grubbin fools.
Subscription Cancelled
Game = Trash
Stop kissing so much ASS MMORPG, you made this game look awesome in your review, but its far from any good.

GW2 is on the way, so is Secret World.
"Overall, he wants the 'fans to trust us' in delivering the best experience."
That right there is some major BS.
Why do they show a TV commercial that looks and plays nothing like the game and try and make a disclaimer that says
" not ALL of what we are showing is gameplay " instead of NONE of what we are showing is gameplay?
Why are they paying sites like this to post fluff peices about the game when they know it is a fabrication?
Why are they deleting any post that questions their integrity, unkept promises, and false advertising on their own forums?
Hmmm could it be because they are liars and crooks?
ding ding ding ding ding ding ding...
