Seems real gimmicky to me. How about some Jedi pandas for the next addition? High heels perhaps?

Nonsense, those bamboo munchers are Sith.
Still cant unbind the customer support quickslot key () . Very annoying .
Hmm...half black, half white...perhaps on the "neutral" side of the force?

They are going to have to close the servers and do a rollback due to the mess that is Ilum. It's a pretty big mess.
Cool update, only complaint is Illum.
Come on really!? Seriously anyone defending this game is so foolish. Out of all the Star Wars lore they could have picked and they chose ZOMBIES?!!
REALLY!?
And before anyone comes in with a comment trying to defend this update, just be honest for a second. If zombies werent popular with mainstream America right now theres no way you would be seeing this in TOR.
And this is Exactly why TOR is a failure as not only a game but as an MMO, because all they are doing is following the mainstream like everyone else in the video game industry. Dumbing down their games, adding in stupid zombies, its pathetic.
Im sure someone will probably go "Omg u srs? Wht about the story elements?" YEAH because choosing between three options of poorly written conversation over and over again is revolutionary.
And no this isnt a troll post, this a person whose pissed off with the way MMO's are and video games in general have become. And it doesnt stop there, its not just video games its everything! Music, movies, everything we have in entertainement. And you know what it all leads to in the end? Corporations. Because everyone has a venue to sell out to these days.
Think about it you guys, George Lucas sold out Star Wars, and now BIoware is selling out Star Wars again, only this time their selling out a poor incarnation of something thats been trampled on time and time again. Its time for people to start realizing that coprorations are killing this industry because theres always someone with more money and more power now for you to get rich off of, its happening with music everyday, its happening with politics (SOPA anyone??) and its happening with MMO's. And if you think this a stretch or that im taking this too seriously; I dont care, because its all relative. Its all part of the same core thats being rotted out and people on every corner are letting it happen.
If you think MMO's are getting worse DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! Or at least have the courage to speak out rationally and frankly with people. Enough is enough!
i have to ask, did you have a problem with rakghouls in the orginal KOTOR? because they were in that too.
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Rakghoul
They actually looked different and not like anabolica zombies...
I just don't like TOR's art style.
Heh, yup it is that 'light darkside' guy noone talks to at parties.... lol... the alignment system really disappionted me in tor. they could have done some intresting, quite unique stuff with it, but like everything in this game (except the storyline) just another missed oppertunity
Is this screenshot from Kotor or Swtor? seriously asking.
Do you think come valentines/easter etc they are going to be audacious enough to add in 'holiday' themed crap? (like cupid costumes for those npcs that follow you around or bunny ears)
Which reminds me... I really liked KOTOR, but yeah, I had a problem with rakghouls there as well. I'd really prefer it if they weren't in that game. There are some very lacklustre additions to the Star Wars lore, both by the expanded universe writers and by Lucas himself as well, and this is one of them.
from kotor.
i don't play the game. don't know. don't give a damn about easter events.
The point is, you would never think of zombies when you run into those little guys in kotor. For a reason everyone screams zombie when he sees this video.
There are also little ragkhouls on Taris in SWTOR. In the endgame they just made them bigger and more muscular and that's pretty lame but ordinary MMO fashion.
You suggest bunny ears for the anabolica zombies fine. Sounds like epic win. You should start a thread in the suggestion forums at swtor website.
This update is accually quite worrying, as it stands SWTOR is really a one trick pony, story line. other aspects of the game are woefully uderdeveloped and this patch seems to just pour yet more storyline on top.
Dont get me wrong the storyline is aew inspiring and groundbreaking for sure, but why is it just more storyline in the first major patch, thats the last area they should be updating?
As bioware are constantly banging on about how they are listening to all feedback closely heres they things that are going to make me decide to unsub:
* wonky risk & reward. I find the most of the rewards very unrewarding, practically all the 'tier' perks are currently nonexistant and leveling perks seem retrofitted.
*prehestoric social system, it seems in the bioware universe all jedis are mute, local area chat please.
*lack of any tangiable ecomomy, and with the current cookie cutter gear, no forseeable ecomomy.
*insane playerbase splitting... whos bright idea was it to curtial social interaction to your current planet?
I am not hating here! I do like playing it, but in its current state it feels very much like a single player experance with co-op bolted on, heaping more content on top is not gonna help.
Heres to hoping for future content with a more 'classic Star Wars' feel.

I really enjoyed the post but was wondering if you had any advice for those who have some nice bunch of ideas. Thanks!

snd the ones in TOR dont look that different
one thing people need to remember is that they are people that have been mutated by a virus(or something). so in the trailer, when you see the humans, they are newly infected and havent been completely mutated yet. they do have many things in common with zombies, but they aren't zombies.
