I think it makes a world of difference in graphics quality now that AA has been introduced. I'm really happy about it and think the game looks amazing now. Not Skyrim amazing, but amazing for a MMORPG. I hope this will stop the complaining about graphics now.

People were mainly complaining about no high res textures.
Yes there were complaints about AA but it looks weird with no high res textures for people as well.
I can't say if it's some or many.
I might get banned for this. - Rizel Star.
I'm not afraid to tell trolls what they [need] to hear, even if that means for me to have an forced absence afterwards.
P2P LOGIC = If it's P2P it means longevity, overall better game, and THE BEST SUPPORT EVER!!!!!(Which has been rinsed and repeated about a thousand times)
Common Sense Logic = P2P logic is no better than F2P Logic.
I would rather deal with the jaggies than the crap fps.

There are still the same old graphics options, except now we have Low and High AA options. So people can adjust the settings to compensate for FPS drops. I don't pretend to be a graphics expert, so I don't know the difference between AA and High Resolution textures, but seeing is believing for me. I see the difference between no AA and with AA, and the game looks high quality to me with AA turned on.
Maybe my lack of knoweldge is a bad thing, but I'm pleased with the changes. Perhaps knowing what you're missing is a bad thing and sets expectations too high. It's leaps and bounds better than my first two MMORPG's (DAoC & SWG) in looks. I was happy with the way those games looked back then, so my expectations aren't so high...even today after graphics have advanced.
I forced AA via my Nvidia control panel from day one and it always looked far better and did not hurt my frame rate much at all. Most video cards (I would like to say all) that can even run this game fit into either Radeon/ATi or Nvidia and all three have options to force AA in there settings. So while I think yes it should be included in the in-game settings, there was always a very easy and just as effective solution for those people who complained the graphics sucked (and were too lazy to fix it).
I just logged in and it definitely looks crisper. I haven't noticed a drop in frame rate yet, although I'm on Hoth so I don't know how that would be on say republic fleet.
I wondered where the lag came from today. Even with 100 folks or more on, I hadnt been having issues. Will have to see if they enabled it for those that had turned it off.
Asking Devs to make AAA sandbox titles is like trying to get fine dining on a McDonalds dollar menu budget.

Wrong its not enabled. Mouse over it "feature not implemented yet". Its a lie.
It is enabled.

Welles is correct, AA is simply not there. I tried the mouse over bit and it stated in no uncertain terms, "Feature has not been implemented yet." In addition, I've cycled through all the AA settings (none/low/high) and there is no visual difference. Polygon edges appear equally jagged on high as they do on off.
EDIT: Here's a screenshot:
It is definitely enabled and working.
* You know what... I thought it was working - but on second glance, I think you're right. Tested it earlier and thought the results were obvious... but now walking around Carrick Station - found some jaggies... counted them with it 'off' - turned it to 'high' and same number of jaggies.
** OK - on 3rd glance.. it IS working. Found a nice spot in the station viewing a railing and the rim of the ceiling above the central bar.
Off... both the nearby railing and the distant ceiling edge were showing jaggies. On... railing still looks the same, but the distant ceiling is without a doubt smoother around the edge.
I don't know what 'high' setting = interms of AA... 4x?
Not sure what you are referring to but all AA does is to remove some jagged edges. So it does not make much difference to me but that being said my performance after this patch has noticeably improved, which is more important for me.
