Timecards - A warning

I just wanted everyone to know that Swtor timecards can be a waste of cash..
If you are unlucky when entering your timecard bioware will register the code, then tell you that it has already been used and you wont get any game time. Only way to get this issue resolved is by contacting customer support by phone (and wait..and wait and wait...) and then take a scan of the card itself and mail it to them.
Yes, even though the code itself has been registered by their system as linked to your account you still have to mail them a scan of the card.
So, if you dont have a canner or camera, or just dont want to wait for hours on end on the phone (which, cant be quite costly if you dont live in the right country) dont buy a time card.

Iv bought time cards for many mmos, never had a problem, why would this game be any different.

There was a story here on mmorpg when the wave of people were complaining about having to have some form of payment plastic to use the game, the person said that they had even added a gametime card and still couldnt play there account but I figured that was some some random thing.
I don't trust anything coming from a poster with just two posts under their name. Sorry
Personal experience, almost 2 hours by the phone after getting tired of waiting 3 days after my first attempt to contact customer support by mail.
All in all their whole billing system seem to be screwed up, the timecard issue is something many are having and even worse is that many are even getting their credit cards rejected.
Perhaps I should make more pointless posts like yours to improve my credability.

yah I dont doubt the trouble with the customer support, there plain terrible, but then again I had some bad CS support with aion also so it doesnt seem to be concentrated to just this mmo.
Im just happy its just a timecard, it could have been worse, I could have given them my creditcard information xD

From non accepting some credit cards to lost accounts they took 3 months to find again :P
Happens with all time cards. It is a warning to anyone buying them from stores. It is very easy to get in and steal the number from cards when they are not beside glass/contained in plastic. However even the biggest companies understand theft and when you call with your time card + the receipt for confirmation you will be credited with the correct amount of time purchased. This applies to every MMo that uses game time cards not just SWTOR.
