Hey, I'm just curious if when I DL the trial and start installing, will it at some point ask for my credit card number?

I believe so, although you wont be charged until you actually activate the account after the trial period ends. At least I think thats the way it still works.

At one point it didnt, but people (myself included) were abusing it, as two weeks is more than a suffcient amount of time to xp a character to max level.

Yes, you will be asked for it. Your credit card is only being used as a form of age verification. Nothing will be charged to your credit card for playing the 15 Day Free Trial. At the end of the 15 Day Free Trial you will no longer be able to login and play Shadowbane unless you convert to a paying subscriber. To convert to a paying subscriber, you will need to either purchase a retail copy of Shadowbane or purchase a CD Key which you can get from a variety of places such as the following:

    Ubisoft Store for $14.99
FilePlanet for $9.95 which includes 3-months of FilePlanet
EBGames Special Promotion for $0.99 (No, that's not a typo)

They will ask however once you enter it they don't verify that alot of the information is correct (address, name etc).

They can piss off if they think i'll trust my credit card to them, when i use a trial i don't wish to give my card details up front, why should u eh? I think it's just a scam to make u sign up, find that the game sucks like shit, then you forget because it is a trial that they took your credit card details. I emailed support but they couldn't give a rats arse about replying, if that is the level of company u are going to use then the game must be crapp too. Best look elsewhere methinks

Would it be a fair and serious trial then you could test the game without a credit card!

Please DON'T play ShadowBane.  We don't want absolute fucking retards like you playing.  You lose.  Goodbye.
