I will be the first to admit that I'm a noob.
But other then that, I was curious as to if the site www.howrse.com was an mmorpg? If not, then what would you call it?
Also, approximately how much do you think it cost to make Howrse?( the server, development team, everything)
Last question, I promise, what all would you need to make an mmorpg like Howrse?(like what kind of programmers, etc)
I was just looking at it and thought about all this, help is much appreciated Thank you all.

:P I have it open in another tab.
I would consider it a browser-based MMORTS however, since you can only do so many stuff a day (Unless you feel like buying stuff for the item mall)
I don't know much in terms of cost and programming, but I can say it wouldn't be exactly 'cheap' or 'easy' to make, since the servers seem really powerful to handle all the traffic and coding any type of MMO will take a lot of time and resources.
You could buy a creation kit for cheap games like that no problem. Say 60 bucks to 200 for a good one.
Honestly, browser games are so plentiful because they are stupid easy to make.
I am honeslty amazed that people pay for things in item shops or play games that limit their playtime at all.
XD Cool!
But yeah, usually all these mmorpg's I hear about are in which you're actually like controlling the player and going through worlds and all that, so I had no idea what Howrse was considered.
Seriously? Here I was thinking it was like, probably a couple hundred or ten thousand dollars to make at least...
stop replying to the spammer, ffs
Self plugging but at least he was smart about it. In a - I barely speak English kinda way.
I'm sorry, I really didn't mean to spam or anything, I just wanted to reply to the answers I was given...
