So ive been playing SWtor and find it to be a pretty good game that has a story well worth spending the time to enjoy! But I have to say my eyes are already set on Guild Wars 2 and The secret world. What about everyone else?
PLease if everyone would refrain from raging on SWtor. Its a good game in my opinion but not everyones..we get that...all i want to know is what games everyone else is looking forward to!

you mean SW:TOR? right because your not allowed to talk about SWR:EMU here
OOOPs...yes thanks for the catch!!!
np it has its good points imo definatly worth the 30 days, i mean ive paid the same amount for dues ex machina just to beat it in 14 hours and never play it again, or front mission 3 where i played it for 10 days got all the ps3 trophies never touched it. So yeah worth its original money.
I will rip a bit on SW-TOR if you dont mind terribly, while still trying to stay on topic.
A common argument when discussing new and underpeforming games is the ever stated argument that just because something is the most sold doesnt mean it's the best. This is most ofen applied to WoW these days, although you saw just as much of it on the EQ boards 8 years ago.
E.g. When someone says that WoW is obviously the better game since 5 million people chose to play it daily, the offended fan of a smaller game usually counters with something like..... Well... just because Avatar or Titanic had the most viewers dont mean that they're the best movies ever (I agree)..... or.... Just because Baywatch, American Idol or whatever version of CSI everone watches these days are the most watched shows doesnt mean they're the best (agreed again), and just because something-Alfredo is the most popular Italian food doesnt mean it's the best representation of Italia (wholeheartedly agree.... Anything Alfredo is fuckin nasty)......
Agreed, agreed, agreed..... I also don't think Usher, Lady Gaga, or JZ make the best music, nor do I love Mc Donalds, or anything Twilight (films, books..... or whatever.... although I do think that Patterson guy is pretty dreamy..... but that's another post..... mmmmmm....... Rob.....) HOWEVER..... just becuase something is popular or appeals to a large audience doesn't automatically make it bad!!! I do hold Lord of the Rings for the best fantasy ever written, I think Bob Dylan is the greatest singer-songwriter ever, and I love the Godfather I and II movies despite how many Oscars they got. Popularity didnt make them bad....
Remember.... SW-TOR doesnt aspire to be some kind of fringe game. SW-TOR is not trying to topple Eve-Online, GW-1 or Horizons..... SW-TOR is just a failing Papa John's.... no matter how you swing it. . SW-TOR is trying to appeal to the mass audience that WoW is currently subscribing to. Just like your local Papa Johns is looking to take a slice out of local Pizza Hut's or Domino's not the sushi place up the hill. Let's not pretend for one f'n second that SW-TOR was made for a selected sliver of the WoW population. If they could have all of it they'd be no more likely to turn it away than Papa John would be if he got all of Pizza Huts orders for a day. The reason Papa John's won't overtake Pizza Hut any time soon is worse service, less name recognition, and a product that's just not that much better than Pizza Hut's to make a difference.... as it happens.... the exact same reasons SW-TOR won't overtake WoW....
For the future.... I just don't know. I do think GW2 will take a portion out of the WoW PVP crowd as GW provides a better PVP platform currently than WoW does and I cannot imagine GW2 doing any worse. Other than that I have to say that the future looks bleak..... I just hope some studio somewhere can come up with a MMOG alternative that doennt end up in a Raid, gear, or PVP grind end game after x amount of levels of no choice at all.... Anything other than that.... Well... I know I'd play it.....
