Canceling free trial...

in Dark Age of Camelot

Has anyone downloaded the free trial and canceled their subscription right away? Does it prevent you from being charged, or do they charge you for one month anyways?

    Before I started DLing this it said,

    Note: At the end of the 14-day trial players will have the option to go on to become subscribers with the characters they have built up during the trial period.

    I'm curious to know if this means, you literally have the option to continue onto a paid subscription by manually clicking some buttons and setting it up to go on or.. they're going to force your anus over to a paid subsription after the final day without notice just forwarding your account from a free trial to a paid subscription, without option to stop or go on..

     

    Does anyone have any info on this? I haven't signed up an account just yet, I want to know if it's easy enough to find the cancelation page before I give them my credit card number so if I did want to cancel it before the trial is up I could do that before getting a fee..

    I too thought when it said the "option" to choose to go onto a sub account that I would actually be given the option, but I was charged without being notified of this "option". I guess I shouldnt be complaining. Its my own stupidity for not thinking that they really mean the option to cancel, not the option to choose to pay.

    In order to cancel you need to either still have the game installed, as you can do it through the loading screen. Or you have to call a number and cancel.

    Note: Lord777, make your sig WAYYY smaller, its pushing making my text get pushed off of the screen.

    yea, through the server selection screen you can cancel (account options or something). kinda sucks it's not on a web page, but hey, not as bad as MxO, right? (HAVE to call to cancel)

    I have done this a few times....Its Simple

    You start the account - give all info cc# ect

    start game- make a toon..

    close out go back in to account info cancel game and  in 14 days its over no billing
