Why is Rift advertising that they are game of the year?

in Rift

I am a player of the game EvE and while heading over to my old trusty site battleclinic to browse for a new fit idea I noticed a confusing banner ad at the top of the screen.  That  banner claimed Rift won MMORPG.com's GOTY.  Unless I missed something EvE is MMORPG.com's GOTY winner is it not?

    Oh man did not even notice it does say 2011 on their banner ad too.  Here i was thinking I had stumbled onto Rift being shady, thanks for pointing out the obvious that i clearly missed.

    Have you tried Age of Conan lately? ..I did recently and love it....and I'm much older than 30.
