PVP question

in Final Fantasy XI

What is the PVP like in FFXI?  Is it all open pvp on all the servers or is there consental pvp as well?

    There isn't any PvP at all, basically. There's a PvP side-game you can participate in called "Ballista"; you can generally start doing that in the upper 20s. Outside of Ballista you aren't allowed to attack or cast detrimental spells on other PCs at all.
