In december of 2011, my account was hacked from me I have been a player of Lineage 2 since 2006, quit and played it on and off, and I renewed my subscription 1 month before the game went Free 2 Play I played it perfectly fine for that month until the game went free 2 play, shortly after it goes free 2 play, My account has a lot of missing items on it, and I can only assume that it was hacked, or items were stolen/sent off my account to someone else.
I also did what others said I downloaded malaware bytes ran a scan and it came back clean showed no virus on my computer.
I filed a request to Lineage 2 GM team where the GM's refuse to investergate, find out who stole my items, even let me know if my account was actually hacked or not. Also they even admit that they were working on a Secondary Password system and that they are taking the issue seriously, however those of us who have already been hacked will not be getting our adena, or items back for any reason.
Fact is my Play Nc Master account was never hacked, never logged into, and I scanned my computer the same week it happend, and even a month after that no keyloggers detected pc clear of Trojans, the game company still says its on my end, but here is a fact.
I had over 155 Million worth of Adena in items and 3-5 Million Adena across the characters on my account, all my gear was mysteriously stripped naked, and I was left with nothing. The only thing the GM's would do is give me a Bound set of gear which was totally useless to me because I can't use it across all my characters like I wanted to, I had multiple +8 weapons stolen from my bank, and all my +3 armors gone without any reason, and no explaination from the GM's other than this.
(GM Can't fix the account, and says sorry for all the years and work wasted in this game just to have it taken from me for some unknown reason. You guys know since I have no evidence of any account hacking, maybe a GM Vaped the wrong account, or maybe their server bugged and I lost everything who knows fact is it is gone, GM's wont do anything.)
Keep in mind that if your account gets hacked GM's will not do anything about it period, for any reason at all.

After reviewing your incident, I have found that one or more of the characters on the account do not currently have any class appropriate items equipped. To help you, I have provided characters above level 40, currently without items, with class appropriate sets of bound items or R-Grade Diplomas for Awakened Characters. If the character received Diplomas, they can be exchanged for bound R-Grade Items at a Mentor Guide in town. I certainly understand that these items may not be of value to what had previously been on the account. However, items remove from the account cannot be recovered.
Please be sure that you've changed your password hint question and answer for the master account. Also please update the master, game, and support account passwords. It's also a good idea to use reputable security software to scan your computer for possible viruses or trojan horse programs. For more information on account security, please see:

Please also make sure that you never give anyone else your account name and password. Additionally, please never use your account name and password on any website except for our official sites at http://www.lineage2.com and http://us.ncsoft.com/en/. There are many scam web sites out there that attempt to copy the look and feel of our websites. Please be very suspicious of any website asking you to enter your account information, especially if it promises things like extra Adena or other in-game bonuses.

I am sorry that bound items sets (weapon/shield, armor set, and jewelry) are intended to help get you back into game so that you may acquire replacement items through normal game play. Please note that additional items and Adena are not provided except for the noted bound item sets.
The Game Support team will not be able to restore any stackable items, or the old items that were lost.

NC Soft, earn all of this back again just to get hacked, or ripped off again due to Nc Soft fail security, and such, no secondary password, No Support?
Conspiracy Theory...
1. How do I know that another GM didn't do this, reason is simple I was sharing the same set across multiple characters the same class for example Sorcer, Dark Elf, and Elven to level them all up to a certain level, maybe they saw this didn't like it and decided to wipe my account of all gear because I wasn't playing teh game the way they wanted me to.
2. How do I know that their server didn't have an error after all it was fine until I went to login and couldn't login then all of a sudden everything was missing, no explaination given.

And my response yet again to NCsoft, and seriously at this point I really don't give a rats behind if they ban my L2 account or something because they have ruined my experience this is that bad.
Look I appricate the help, but I will not be returning to Lineage 2 until this issue is fixed, as there is no reason all these items should have just mysteriously disappeared, and no reason I should not be getting an answer to if someone else actually logged into my account and did this or not, in addition Lineage 2 devs should have had a secondary password in place to protected from this, and such, they might put one in the future but what about me and the rest who have already been ripped off.
The only way you can help me if by finding a GM who can fix this problem, and find out what happend, otherwise as I said I am not coming back, or spending a dime in L2 again, and I will make sure that everyone on MMORPG.com, and every other Lineage 2 blog knows about what happend to my account, the failure of NCsoft to properly backup peoples data in the event somethign happens like this, because I know that if it was done properly and the time I notified NCsoft of this issue something could and still can be done, and besides I know that there are DB managers who can instantly recover any lost item in the game, because I have had GM friends in other games, so there really isn't a point in saying this is all we can do because its not.
If nothing else can be done, other than giving a full set of armor that isn't even enchanted, my other characters all naked with no gear either, no gear I can share between them like I was doing before all this happend, then there is no way for me to really play this game it took me too much time and is too much of a loss to return to a game to have the same thing happen down the road, not to mention that the set isn't even for my class and totally useless.
If you really want to know what I want that is simple, I want this issue dealt with, and I want to know what happend to my stuff obviously there are ways of knowing who did this, but since I am not being told if someone else logged into my account and did this maybe it was a server error, or perhaps a GM made an error in their command prompt or something.
If nothing else can be done, please close this ticket, and I will be sure to pass the word on outside Lineage 2 forums to everyone else as well of what support I have been provided after being a customer for 6 years with NCsoft games, and no I am not blaming any specific GM because I do not know any of you, but whoever is in charge of this needs to get on the ball and do something about me, and the others who have also been ripped off when this game went Free 2 Play, not only will it make NCsoft more money from me, but it will also save their sinking reputation, the choice is up to whoever has the ability to track and fix this issue, but don't tell me there is not something that can't be done because as a computer tech who works on computers myself I know that if a proper backup is kept there is no reason that there should be a problem clicking a few keys to resolve my problems as well as the other people who have lost all their gear too.
If there is seriously something I can do besides a ticket which seems to be getting nowhere like someone I can call, or contact I would like to know, because you know even though I don't like World OF Warcraft, all it took to blizzard to get problems like this fixed was a simple phone call, why the problem with NCsoft for, they think that people intentionally give out their password to others so they can get it ripped off or duplicate items no way?... I would rather all my stuff be tracked down to where it went and deal with the person who stole my stuff, but again who cares the GM's don't have to worry about playing the game we do.

i have had an account with lineage 2 since 2005 and have never been hacked.
Do you honestly believe this? That has to be one of the most farfetched ideas I've seen on these forums, and thats saying something.
Sorry you got hacked, kinda sucks. But I can't feel terrible as all you're doing is pointing the finger elsewhere, when most of the time getting hacked is the players own fault.
Everything creates huge amounts of negativity on the internet, that's what the internet is for: Negativity, porn and lolcats.
usually it is the players fault when they get hacked, visiting gold selling sites,power leveling services downloading mods and add-ons. all risk having your account compromised.
Never had any problem in ANY game so far with security & hacks *knocks on wood* Then again, I don't buy items out of game, use botting software or powerleveling services ;-)

It's sad to see how a great game like Lineage II goes down like this because if went F2P and made and expansion that's so damn general that I get the feeling I play WoW, RIFT or any other mainstream MMO...
Its standard practice for most MMOS not to return equipment when somthing like this happens unless they have proff that you where hacked.
But for them not to look into it at all is not a good thing
No Idea what happend.
1. I didn't use addon's or third party programs.
2. I randomly change my passwords throught what I use
3. Why did Blizzard Restore my account in 24 hours after it was ripped off and NCsoft cant?
4. I did not share my information with gold sellers obviously.
5. Why did this happen when the game went Free 2 Play, not way before then?
6. It should be obviously to NCsoft that I would not have done this to my own account and then made a big issue over it as my items, and all my work is gone.
7. Have not Used hacks/Bots.
8. Again my L2 account was safe untouched there for years until this game went Free 2 play then Bam everything stripped off of it, and I have other accounts I will not say what games for my safety but they have a lot of gear on them worth a lot more than my L2 account, and they have not been hacked so if I had a keylogger then those would have been taken more than likely.
9. Nope they didn't look into anything at all or even tell me that my account was hacked they just simply said to change my password gave me the automated links for safety and such, I just assume it was hacked because my mails when I sent gold to my alts on the same account were deleted like a sign someone else mailed my stuff away which should be easy for NCsoft to investergate.
10. The wierd thing about all this is my cosmetic accessories worth millions were left on my account, and some gold was actually left on my account like 40k or so adena 100k on another I believe they did this to send my items by mail or something no idea if it costs to send items I dont remember but thats odd for a gold seller to do for me anyways when my WOW account was ripped off years ago that was due to an add-on from curse, and everything including gold was stripped but Blizzard helped get my account back and fix an authinticator on my account. Also I was not even subscribed at the time my account was hacked someone renewed it for me and I got a suspension notice in my email I thought it was a scam like usual but went directly to the wow website and checked and they had got my account.
Sorry to hear this happened to you. In my 6 years of playing the game I have never had a problem with NC Soft.
Yeah been playing pretty much since open beta and have to say this has not happened to me, everyone I know that this has happened, have shared the account with someone, entered their details somewhere ( this could be using username and password the same as ingame on some forum ), have bought powerleveling services.
Also never had my WoW account hacked or any MMO account hacked for that matter *touch wood*, I think its really a matter of ppl falling or using illegal services.
yes and unfortunately in my opinion you only get hacked when you enter your log in details in some dodgy web page relating to game and aslong you keep your details just ingame login you will be fine. this happen to example wow fake armory and quite alot account were hacked due this and ofc none had done nothing wrong as they say " cant believe im hacked , havent done nothing"

I have played Lineage 2 since Chronicle 2 and still continue to play it to this day, and never once have experienced anything like this. It has to have been on your end.
Regarding the text I highlighted- the fact that you've had security issues from two different games puts even more weight behind it being solely your fault. I feel for you OP, these things can be very stressful but hopefully they end up being learning experiences.

NCsoft support is just one big fail. Lost an Aion account after got hacked, and those morons at support decided to send new username and password to the hacker instead of me.
Never buying another NCsoft game again.
While I dislike NCSoft, I would say this is OPs fault for having bad security. You got items stolen in several games, time to format your PC perhaps? I've played the game since late 2003/ early 2004 somewhere and never had this happen to me...
Lineage 2 is not from ncsoft anymore since its f2p. Here in Europe its owned by Innova, a Russian company.

Well my World OF Warcraft Account hack happend in 2008 I think it was, and had nothing to do with my Lineage 2 hack. The wow hack was due to Blizzard changing the user name to email address, and more than likely a keylogger from a curse addon, however my point is their customer service fixed my account almost instantly, while NCsoft cant.

A secondary password feature is already in the work. This will provide extra security.
The only items we can grant you are the Bounded items for characters that are above level 40.
The items you have lost were most likely sold for Adena to NPC stores, or sold to other players. Usually this is what happened when items are removed. The Adena would then be filtered through newly created accounts, and finally to RMT agents who made delivery to players who purchase Adena.
Is this really all they can do because I laugh at how sad this is here my account has an armor set on they gave me which isn't for my character and I can't even play the game, and my +8 weapon is gone so I guess I have to wait a month or two before I can play it again and find a way to obtain at least 200Million + in gold.
200kk isnt much those days though and with some bounded items you are perfectly capable of farming new gear, considering some RMT agents sold your stuff its very likely your own fault for letting something slip in. Just one program usually doesnt cut it if its something truely nasty or otherwise you could say they already got a hold and perhaps had your email or such so even when you change password they would obtain it.
