Eternita is constantly changing and evolving as we are a newly formed guild and we want to make sure that we are as well organized as possible.

Philosophy:

We strongly wish for good progression in the game, but we do understand that real life comes first. We wish to progress as quickly as possible, aswell as building a group of skilled gamers who can work together to overcome whatever challenge GW2 will offer. We want active and social gamers and we do not like inactivity of over 2 weeks, unless there is a good reason and we get notified about this. We want our guildies to be active in-game, ventrilo and on the forums (this includes prelaunch).

Community:

Our community is aiming towards the "hardcore" mindset with focus on Player vs. Enviroment (PvE). We wish to achieve, and maintain a nice progression through all PvE content. As a member of Eternita you are expected to be gaming guild wars 2 regurarily.

Goal:

We wish to be a organized and active guild, to clear all content the game offers and keep our members happy. We want to progress consistently through PvE content, and we will also do some PvP. We wish to be one of the leading guilds and we will do our best in order to achieve that!

Background:

Eternita was formed on the 1st of January 2012. The name Eternita comes from the latin word Aeternitas wich means eternity.  Many of the members come from a tight group of friends that have played WoW for many years.

Leadership:

My name is Yuna and my in game name will most likely be Maria Amarante. I am a 21 year old woman from Norway. I have been a guild master in WoW and I've also been officer, co-leader and site admin for many other guilds I've been in through the years I've played WoW. I've played wow for soon 7 years and I've progressed through most content. I still hold the position as a guildmaster in WoW, but my main focus is on Eternita as I intend to leave WoW as soon GW2 is out. I've also played alot of other mmo's, including Rift, Guild wars, Aion and many others.

My only help is my life partner and true love Gili, enjin user name xfun. He will have the position as a officer and site admin. He been playing WoW for 7 years and we actually met in WoW. He have had the role as officer in many of the guilds he have been in through the years he have played WoW. He is hungarian, but he lived in Romania most of his life. He currently live in Norway together with me. He is a dedicated gamer, just like me. He likes mmo, shooter and horror games. He is a skilled player, who use his brain and can usually see ahead of the situations.

Note - Officer positions are available at this moment. If you wish to apply for one of these positions, then please feel free to contact me via the recruitment section and state in your application that you are intrested in the position. Hardcore PvE progression you say? Sorry to dissapoint you, but GW2 is not the game you are looking for.

Why not? It gonna be PvE content in the game. :)

A.net have had focus on PvP so far, but it is PvE content in the game.

There is very few mmorpg games without end-game PvE content, so dont come here and tell me that GW2, wich gonna be revolutionary in the mmorpg history not gonna have any end-game PvE content.

It won't, not in the way you are thinking of.  The entire game is "endgame" and you can go to any level of zone and be an appropriate level for that zone.  Well, there are always dungeons to do, collecting whatever set of armor you want, achievements to complete, characters to reroll, PvP matches, and WvWvW battles (I consider this to be both PvE than PvP).

Also...Guild exclusivity?  Really?  You expect members to ignore GW2's unique guild system because you think that it will make your members more dedicated and loyal?  Likely, people will ignore that rule or ignore your guild...just sayin'...

I used to TL;DR, but then I took a bullet point to the footnote.

Yes i know that, I know its not gonna be any raids. All PvE content is based on dynamic events, but there still gonna be dungeons to do and eventually they will put in more PvE content.

And why dont you keep your comments to yourself, unless you got something nice to say.

I am not forcing anyone to join, it is fully up to each individual to decide that and atleast I've written what i expect from people.

I Think the point is that 'hardcore' has no meaning.  There is nothing in GW2 PVE that is competitive in case of killing bosses and 'firsts'   A guild full have super high skill level players will not progress any faster or further than a totally casual guild with low skills, there is nothing to measure, its just not that kind of game.  Put it this way, one of the core design element's is personal story, not end-game, and there is not much point hardcoring a personal story.

What pricked my curiousity was your Philosophy and Goals sections, they are WOW orientated and are meaningless when applied to GW2.  Thankfully the devs deliberately avoided the horror that is endgame raid cycling in GW1, and have stated categorically this is not part of their present or future design philosophy.

All the best to your new guild though - the beginning is allways the best time :)

I dunno about that, you seems to think that all content will be easy street since most of it is open world and there wont be any raids.

Guildwars 1 however have some really hard areas, particularly in hard mode. There is no reasons to believe that GW2 wont have elite areas as well that will be very challenging, not to mention the dungeons.

The real big difference is just that people in GW1 and probably GW2 work more for titles than gear. There will still be areas most players never enter and while the gear might be cosmetic some will be something a lot of players will try to get.

I see no problem setting high goals like this, but I can't really jpin a guild before I actually get the game, it just wouldn't ne my style. ;) Besides, being good in GW1 does not mean there isn't a chance that I wont suck in GW2.

Ah no I totally agree I think some of GW2 will be hard as nails (hopefully) as with GW1, in fact im loving GW1 just now for that very reason :) agree with titles as well.

I wish you the best in your adventures,  but i would like to point out as well that GW2 is REALLY not gonna work the way you seem to believe it will.  It does not so now, and no, it will not change in the future, because the very premise of this game is the complete opposite to what you seem to want to achieve.

There WILL be dungeons but the biggest challenges and progression will be open and for everyone to join and help, not guild /private group centric.

    Best wishes either way.

    Rawr.

  • I have to agree with Loke here. I think that the OP was not clear enough in her post but that it is still possible as Loke666 said. Just in a different way.
