The current affair of the game is pre D day. Once the expansions and patches are added, people will be able to play as italians and possibly the Americans.

I dont think countries will be free to chose allainces. There will be more AO's (1 per brigade). The power is with the players because the HCs are volunteers and players and is open to everyone who wants to do it. Instead of bashing them maybe you should walk a mile in their shoes.

Yea i kinda lauged at that. The HC's ARE players. Just submit application and you are in (after training)
I never understood why players bash the HC's. They are players just like you or me. Heck I've done two tours of duty in the HC and I know they'd like me to serve another with them when I am not working out of town and have enough free time to actively serve as an officer. There has to be a level of Command to this game, it just can't function as a true war-sim if there wasn't HC's. And you either make the choice at what level you want to serve out and how high up the chain of command you go. What more can you expect?

Yeah, it's a bit unfair. But on the other hand they could support the playerbase by not run for "ruler". To say that a true warsim needs a HC present is probobly true, but then WWIIOL is no true warsim.
If this true warsim was, the HC officers would need replica training of their rank.
-How did a brigadier general think and act in WW2?
-Like a zited schoolboy from a flat in Dublin?
-Probobly not!
-As a american dustbindriver or a japanese autopartseller then?
-Of cause not.
Well this kind of people is what the HC is built of, people with no WW2 expirience what so ever. So there for it's very wrong to call WWIIOL a true warsim.
HC influense in the game should not be on a level that desturbes the player choises in the game play. Nowadays i can't do nothing before some 16 year old with a HC-tag has decided it!

You won't find any other game on the market that is comes close to being as much of a war-sim in a realtime environment using real players. Sure you can play Panzer General and the like but this game you command real troops, and have to deal with real supply and research issues. And it will only get better.
Now its true alot of the commanders do not have any official training, they haven't gone into the military they couldn't tell you why one tactic is worse then another in a given situation, but they try and they learn from their mistakes and their failures. But the important thing is thy try. They work their butt off for the community and their side. If you want to show them how its done, how to do it better and train officers to be better tacticians then the way to do it is to work your way up and prove to others in the field you got the right stuff, that gets you promoted and opens doors for setting up the doctrine that others will learn from in the future.
But its not fair to just diss the guys who are trying while not trying yourself. I helped run part of the Royal Air Force for a year, I made friends and I made enemies doing so. I taught alot of fresh recruits how to fight in the air and use tactics to survive in difficult times. Some learned and still use what they learned others didn't and they still die like lemmings to my guns now that I'm flying for the Luftwaffe. You can't control what others do or not, the best you can do as an officer is lead by good example and hope that the ones you train and who follow in your footsteps try to continue on growing the unit in a positive manner.
But I still think alot of people who bash the HC's for their decisions and tactics need to step up and try to change things rather then just sit there and point the finger of blame. Its alot easier to sit back and critique others when you have no idea of the work they put it, and wether or not those they try to lead follow them or just continue doing stupid things.
Just like in real life, some people are great at some things, and work great in groups, others struggle and are more introverted and tend to stick to themselves. But you can only try and do your best and hope that the positive out-weighs the negative.

Yepp that's correct. And in my case, the best thing i can do is not to play WWIIOL. My and hordes of other players freezed subscriptions will outweigh the brigadespawning and all rubbish that came with it!

You could always find a game you DO like and play it. I know it sucks to get spurned by a game you loved that changes on you and becomes unplayable or in your own opinion just very lame, but trolling does nothing but make people think you are a really sad person which I am sure you aren't. I know your name is SirEvil so I may be wasting my breath, but I hope you realize that trolling doesn't serve the purpose you are after. Which is what, make them take out whatever patches you think suck?
If that is your goal then there are things you can do to make this come about. You think Mythic decided to make old school servers because the idea popped in their heads? No, fans of the game struggled on the message boards objectively pointing out the flaws and intelligibly corresponding with the devs and working together as gamers to bring light to the issue. And by some miracle, Mythic actually gives a rats rear what their customers want. Did you try this approach and if so how were your cries for help met? If you didn't try this then I suggest you do. Trolling about on some fansite can't bring you as much pleasure as a good game or even an arguement with a bus driver could. Could it?
And yes, before you ask, shedding some intellectual light on an angry "misdirected fan" *notice I didn't say troll because I am not here just to upset you* does give me great pleasure.
WWII is more fun now than ever. With people like you gone and the smarter people subbing up and learning the new system teamwork levels and entertainment have never been higher.

WWII online is ate up with bugs, latency, and huge egos, the FPS falls to a slide show rate when involved in combat, shoot your nme only to be killed by him 10 seconds later. Weapon systems that dont work, individual freedoms removed as you cannot create a mission until you have rank to do so, the good ole boy system is well entrenched here, dont waste time nor money on this game, in its current condition (read: Broken) its not worth it.
ha, so mad at the game that you have to copy and paste your own posts in multiple threads?
You must have a poor computer as I get over 50fps at all times. No slide shows. I don't know why you keep dieing to an enemy you shoot, probably because you are missing them. How do the weapon systems not work? Seems to make sense that a new player shouldn't be able to post missions, this is a simulation after all.
How can the 'good ole boy' system exist, when all you have to do to join the HC is apply. You can't be turned down.
HC is the "High Command" of each side. AHC is the Allied High Command, and GHC (or OKW) is the German High Command. These organizations are set up to give overal strategic organization to the fight for Europe. For example, the German side is seperated into Army's, and they set the area of operation for those groups, and assign the overall objective, which would be to take a specfic line of towns or some such. High Commands also decide the the vehicles that are researched for each side.
They are completly ran by the players, and anyone can join. They train you and allow you to climb the ladder. One day you might become commander of an entire side.

I'm not as sad as i am pissed! And what i am doing here is to help the game. I use truth as my weapon.
If WWIIOL ever will become a nice game again we all have to help out. Unsubing is good, to challange the cheerleaders is also important.
And yes, i'm plain evil!

I got a noob question here.....What is an HC?
HC is the "High Command" of each side. AHC is the Allied High Command, and GHC (or OKW) is the German High Command. These organizations are set up to give overal strategic organization to the fight for Europe. For example, the German side is seperated into Army's, and they set the area of operation for those groups, and assign the overall objective, which would be to take a specfic line of towns or some such. note: I'm not in the HC.
