It's just all you need to see really. ToR couldn't do anything a tenth as cool in instances, never mind the open world. Bioware even had star wars to play with, which has such massive potential for mind boggling awesome.

shamelessly stolen from a FPS-Fan. but it fits to todays MMORPGs, too.
Sad but very accurate.

I don't totally get it, but I think the first one is somehow fitting. Maybe because the players feel like the game is disappearing from under them right after it was made? And they are about to be left alone without even being given a chance. I have no idea what hte vindictus one was about.

Seeing that the encounter is so scripted and never changes, the gif nails it.

Never changes? TROLOLOLOL.
ComfyChair needs to read about dynamic event chains differ by certain quests, in other words depending on what the players do can change the boss fights/area/enemies/allies/etc.
I notice that the bottom one shows the actual product while the top one is just a picture of what you're supposed to be imagining while you look at the 2d maps and stats.
Think you missed his point though.
Nope, he got it quite right.

Not saying it will be this way lol, at least I hope not.
I think for a lot of people this will probably be true. Those who get so caught up in the fan-hype that they believe it is the second coming or something.
Will be a great game, but it is still just an MMO.
