Pic 1: I love that jacket the girl has (the same that's in previous shots, right?), overall amazing. BUT! The water surface looks wrong. No ripples from objects touching the water (like the boat thing or where the solid ground meets the river). Just a minor detail, nothing serious. Shouldn't be prioritized unless the game's cosmetics are getting an overhaul.
Pic 2: Rocks and/or ruins. Creepy place where even the trees look gray, is it the fog/mist that makes it look this way?). If not, the green color could use a little refreshing touch?
But this is all minor technical quirkies. Overall I would say it looks very promising! Keep up the good work guys!
Pic 2 is actually a shot of a location near one of the edges of the world. The world is shattered and the people live on three floating islands that they've managed to tie together ... but at the edges of the world things are more broken ...
I think the enviroments look great and the character models keep getting better. The water however, if you look closely, the ripples in the water are just repeating a preset pattern. Being as its a stream and thus a moving body of water I would expect, if your engine is capable of it, that there would actually be less reflections (more transparent water) and more ripples.
The quality of the pics seems to be getting better as each new set is released... I'm not a huge stickler for graphics (I think the gameplay is more important, personally) but I get more and more excited as more information is released. It's gonna be extremely hard to wait another year or so before getting a chance to play this....
Either way, HJ is living up to all I've grown to expect from Simutronics
Te environment looks real superb! I dont really like some of the PC chars' designs lately but the environment and some of the mobs looked awesome so far!
The only thing that came to mind for me was "Hmm.... Im going to have to upgrade my computer soon". The graphics are very nice.

Yeah that was definately one of the first things that crossed my mind... Good thing I had planned to buy a brand new computer after christmas... Start from scratch and make sure I don't have to update it for a while

No promises but I expect that would be probably alright. I initially used an Athlon 2400+, GeForce 5200 adn 512 RAM and the development environment ran fine. I can't see the client needing more than the development environment. You'll likely want somthing that will show off the glorious scenery better but the processor and memory should be okay. I'm currently just guessing based on my experiences.
My preference of course would be for all players to use the slowest stuff around so that the critters can eliminate them easier.

I'm currently running a Pentium IV 2.0Ghz with a GeForce 6800GT, 768MB RAM and it seems to handle everything pretty well in the development client. I suspect the primary factor here would be the video card, but memory and processor speed never hurt anyone.

If anything, your PROCESSOR is bottlenecking you. That video card can handle anything you throw at it (I have the standard 6800 and it sure does). Your processor, on the other hand, is a bit on the low end...unless of course you really meant to say everything runs perfect, in which case, ignore me!

This machine pretty much smokes -- outside of the video card, it's top of the line.
Location 2 Intel Celeron 2.4Ghz OC'd to 2.9Ghz 512MB RAM GeForce ~Ti4400 Series 256MB
This machine obviously takes a bit more of a hit, but with the development client, it's still very, very runnable. With out current client, it's still very CPU bound -- once we get further in, things will be streamlined and optimized, so it may still be a decent configuration...
Of course, that's not going to stop me from upgrading that machine in a few months so I can still get a good Battlefield 2 fix every now and then.
