I've been playing mmorpg since 2002 by the way, games I got same day they were announced where as I said on this thread CE Aion, CE FFXIV, CE Rift.
All were announced and were in store same day no fake statements.

Anyways, they have the game available just not the particular version you want. They will be getting the physical CE to all of their distributers stores before the beginning of the BETA weekend, they have stated this on their site, twitter and facebook.
They haven't made any fake statements, I don't know what you're on about, also, if you think En Masse is childish for this, you are certainly mistaken, if you think it is super easy to distribute millions of copies of a game to thousands of stores in 20+ countries you clearly are uninformed.
Not to mention this doesn't even have to be En Masses fault directly, there may have been delays getting it to the distributers, or the distributers being unable to get it to the companies that will sell the product or the companies selling the product getting it to every single one of their thousands of stores on time.
Digital CE for me.... been waiting this game for too long.
I could care less about the lawsuit, NCSOFT is just jelly and butthurt, too bad they have GW2, guess i wil never play it.

For as much as I dislike NCSoft and have no respect for their business practices, I will give them one thing, that is, with GW and GW2 they have always left arenanet alone to do their thing and that has been a good decision that has made NCSoft good money over the years.
So for as much as I am cheering for Bluehole and hoping that NCSoft gets legally humiliated I wouldn't let that keep me from GW2. GW2 is ArenaNet's baby through and through and they are good folk. They just work for the devil.
I get what your saying Katana and i feel for you, I'm sure we have all gone searching for hours around town going from store to store for a peticular item. As you said you went to many retailers and felt as though you were made a fool of, since you were asking for an item that did not seem to exist yet. I will assume this is the reason for your thread, to make it known that En Masse are liars . Some seem to think you are just being anal, and while i disagree and agree with them at the same time, we need to take many things into perspective. As a previous poster said, marketing and sales dont often communicate with each other very well, as i have experienced some of this lack of communication before. Putting the blame on En Masse because of this way of business is making you look grumpy, and i know nobody likes to be seen a grumpy / moody person. This is where i have to disagree with you and agree with the people posting against you. Business is business and you need to be more aware of marketing (as I'm sure you are aware of this now). But then i agree with you because your problems could have been remedied very easily by either writing "coming soon to these retailers" under the physical CE copy, or saying that the physical CE will not be available until *date*. It is a good thing i read this thread first because i was about to spend my whole afternoon finding a store with the pre order available. =D

I am pretty sure theres a thing called a telephone or a cell phone that you can use to call stores before drivng to but I could be wrong.

Cell phones are still fairly new. But the intarwebz has been around a year or two I think. Cant expect everyone to keep up with the newest tech. o.O
