Originally posted by Drakkisath I just want to get opinions from other gamers... Which game will you most likely get into more: Dark and Light or Hero's journey?
To be perfectly honest, I wont know until I play all of them. I've heard far too many horror stories about D&L to have much hope left for it. HJ still sounds incredible. Vanguard...we'll see if its as boring as EQ1. I'm also watching The Chronicle (MMOCenter.com) and beta-ing Irth Online. We'll see what happens once they are all out.
i would have to actually play them to give that opinion. u may love everything about a game from reading about it, but its the "feel" of the game once u actually start playing it that matters most.

Dark and Light's graphics simply look ugly, and that's going to take away from the immersion. And sources say that you'll have to group later on, which turns me off. Screw D&L. HJ ftw.
if u post a "what game is best?" topic anywhere but general, you'll get spammed by fanb01s...

Dark and Light, Hero's Journey and Vanguard are gonna be amazing. I will probably be playing all 3 upon release along with Irth Online.
I have to say I have never seen this level of participation by actual developers on a third party site. My hats off to the Heros Journey family. I will be purchasing the game solely based on this factor. Well plus I'm a graphics phreak
Pirates of the buring sea (Always wanted to be a pirate and travel the seas aye me matey!)
Hero's Journey it's all about to creative quest and being able to finish them in different ways! IT would be awesome if an enemy NPC(scout) saw you warning the band of incoming rivals that your presence is around...hey if we can finish them off a different way why can't they makes it interesting
Tabula Rasa only because Richard Garriot is working on the project and i'm a fan of ultima

Yeah, it would be cool if the enemy set up their own traps and had guys that would set them off when they spotted you (such as a bunch of logs at the top of a hill being blocked from going down by ropes or something, and the enemies just cut the ropes). This would allow the player to choose the following actions:
1. Attempt to sneak past them. 2. Make them trigger the trap, and then dodge out of the way. 3. Sneak up to them, kill them, and use the trap for your own purposes

ah!! that's exactly what i was thinking not only you could have those three options but if the enemy is weaker..they could use their A.I. set traps or flee to get stronger units or three destroy you passage making you go through a harder route :):)

I'll definitely be playing HJ... then again, I am biased.
