People are actually SURPRISED about this shit still? Haven't they realized that this game is slowly and surely dying with all the bad press surrounding the company?
The only question I have for fans of the game is: If this was SOE/Cryptic/EA, would you put up with not receiving a promised reward?
Honestly yes I wouldn't care. The rewards we were probably going to get would be no different then all those stupid pre-order rewards in other MMOs. I care about gameplay more than fluff and that's what they need to work on.
That being said I don't think its right to lie to your customers. I think it would have been better for SV to just say they have to postpone them instead of trying to sweep it under the rug...but it just doesn't bother me that much.
IMO it seems the only people it really bothers are those who hate the game (ie the majority of this forum) and these people are trying to blow it out of proportion to use it too support their "MO is a scam and awful game" stance and give it bad publicity.
The defense of this issue really surprises me. You fans of the game keep chanting "we dont want any silly reward" but that is not the issue. The issue is, a representative of SV came here, made claims of something coming into the game and then not only never addressed it again but also tried to hide it by deleting posts. Any chance you fan's of the game could address the actual issue and tell us why you support these kinds of unethical business practices? Do you also support the dev's of the jurrasic park game going to metacrtic and putting in fake reviews to build sales?

We don't support SV at all regarding this. It was a bad business practice that ends up with bad PR.
Theia just dipped out because he learned a lesson.... don't believe what Henrik and the devs tell you. And certainly don't stake your credibility on it because you will have none.
Just because I'd rather see a bug fixed doesn't mean I give them a pass on not delivering a promise.

Wait, they are just NOW (supposedly) getting around to those who preordered / order physical copies of the game? I remember the disc controversy along with many other things...
Cool fact. This is how my package came in the mail when I preordered the special edition of the game (I am a 999).

How about the steel DVD case, the dvds, "art book" and miniatures, lol? I had to hassle them to send me my contents I purchased...
but you did recieve it in the end? dont see a problem there mistakes get made, quite frequently even with amazon
Not everyone did and when Amazon makes a mistake they tend to own up to it. take care of it promptly, appologize and do their best not to make the same mistake again. Can you say that SV handles mistakes this way as well? If not do you think it was even remotely reasonable to compare SV to Amazon in this situation?
SV has not handled this situation well at all at any point.

Dont really have any personal experience of SV making a mistake other than an email for a double bill and once getting banned from irc accidentally, both times they handled it proffessionally and apologised. Utrned out i recieved two emails but i wasnt double billed.

No, they did resend it thankfully and I ended up with one extra loot bag and another complete set. Thought I am kinda wondering if this was a limited run of 999 or whatever... Because they did sell out right away. Did they have a few extras copies and just print up a random sticker? LOL...
Good that they finally made an official statement about it. The questions in the thread are extremely naive tho. Answer to them is obvious to any logical person with any game dev knowledge. No loot, no force, one per char. Duh?

Yes, shit seems to happen a lot in SV world...

This just in, SV promises something and fails to deliver, news at 11:00.
Really, there's still anyone out there who believes in a SV promise? And I thought innocence was dead.

offical response and stickied thread for the veteran rewards.
it would make sense to keep a few extra copies of something just incase they get lost in the mail etc..
