"Tera and noob frogster" your opinions
To begin with frogster for me is noob company with free to play crap games.
While the game may be fun to play when i see that crap company frogster behind this game i see big time fail.
I will not be surprised if that noob company with the fail name turn this game free to play in less than 1 year.

Put your pocket protector down and relax. Sure they bit the big one this weekend. It's not the first time this has happend and it won't be that last. By the way, Frogster is only the European publisher. En Masse Entertainment is the US publisher and it's their first title ever!
Relax and see what comes. You're rage won't do you or the game any good.

Frogster actually has a pretty good reputation, and this whole Tera mess was not a Frogster issue this was a Bluehole issue.
A pretty common issue to be honest, soon as it happened me and my friends were on skype laughing and saying how you would think new developers would learn from the mistakes of companies that came before. Exact same issue happened with Everquest, and WoW.
In laymans terms, they did not adjust the timeout timers to deal properly with a heavy load login server. They did not account for bandwidth properly, they did not give the client the option to handle lost packets properly, and they did not properly configure their server farm placing thier webpage/forums, login server, and game servers on seperate farms,
ATM the testing client is still being hosted on in-house test servers owned and operated by Bluehouse. The release client won't be released to Frogster until open beta phase most likely that is usually how its done for a project like this. I mean would be real hard for Bluehole developers to fix client issues that required server access, if they weren't the ones hosting the server.
But hey go ahead and rage on Frogster like all the other know-it all know nothings are doing, all you acomplish is making an ass out of yourself.

Ya I enjoy these games, but my life does not depend on them, so if they had some problems, its not theend of the world, i will no cancel, i will not rage and say omg the world is over , no one will play your game now....
who cares , just hope this game is fun.
It was stated again and again forgster have nothing to do with that crap, they gave them a brend new data base to handle, probably knowing it will have a lot of problems but you know frogster have the least n° of customer, and in asia they better keep a low profile, so they gave them the baby.
They gona allow frogster to release a server for asia?

Why does frogster have a bad reputation? What games did they mishandle?
This sneak peek should really not count. Nearly all mmos have startup problems. Lets see how they handle the next sneak peek and beta weekends.
They seem fine as a company and im sure they dont want to mess up their first AAA title release.
Its better that they have issues early in the beta tests so they can fix them before release.
Please remember beta testing is for finding bugs and helping the company to release a game that works, its not there for you to have a weekend of free entertainment. Be thankfull this happened now and not at release.
IF you cant get your head around beta tests having issues then i would say dont bother with beta testing.
Too bad it was a sneak peek and not a beta test.

This event was never to be a Beta test, it was a first impression log on, In other words 'come and see our game'.
I wonder if Frogster will win the German MMO title of the year again with Tera, just like they did with ROM. hehe.
If you don't know Frogster or weren't their customer, please, do not talk about their reputation. Enjoy their support 3-6 months after release, then let God help you. Any normal person that played their game(s) knows that game was his 1st and last game from Frogster. They killed me interest in TERA when announced that they will be EU publisher. But looking into Tera NA version, if GW2 will come late...
P.S. At least, I hope they learnt something from fail of Runes of Magic... Their greediness can easily destroy Tera (and perhaps, make it F2P...).
I am voting for 1. destroy first 2. make it into F2P 3. Make it impossible to play the game at top level 4. Profit
I'm really sad that they won something for merely porting a game over from Taiwan to Germany.
You'd figure the game maker would win something, not just the company that makes it available in Germany.
That and RoM has for a long time been a pay to win game.

I'll just stick to En Masse, if the US beta tests Feb 10th go off without a hitch I think many European people will head over to NA as well.
I feel bad for them, they blew a big chance to turn some opinions aroundand prmote their game to a huge audience, but thats where it ends for me.
I don't think it makes them 'crap'', nor does it spell dooooom for Tera.
I wil play their game happily if they recover from this and run the beta events without a hitch.
Maybe they bring in some of the Game Forge staff to help... the guys there seem to be running the Aion beta extremely well and have great customer communication.
Thats what happened with RoM. IT was great at first, then shit hits the fan.
You get better answer from taking to a monkey in the zoo.
Because Frogster knows they can make more money off the free to play games then they could with Tera.That's probably why the sneak peek was a failure over the weekend because Frogster was working on Eligium to open on the 15th of this month, which is a free to play game, in which brings in more money for them than Tera would..
