TSW will do better in the West then TERA I think, especially Europe... even though I will be playing the latter.
Both will do ok though. I think they will be just glad to not clash with GW2.

This is going to be a tough call for me. I really want to try both this and TERA. It will be interesting to see which one "wins" out for me in terms of getting my sub, as I would only keep one subscription active past the first 30-days.

I will be getting this one.. but.. may wait to see how the launch goes first, if the game is solid on release, i'll definitely be buying it, otherwise, i'll just wait until it is
One, after the bad launch of AOC they withheld the date until they were absolutlely sure it was rock solid and ready for release or...
They see the launch of GW2 on the horizon and are rushing it out the door prematurely to avoid getting lost in it's wake. (And don't forget about D3)

The release date was April since summer 2011. Everything is going as planned. *evil grin*
Haven't they had a Spring 2012 date set in stone for a while now? As much as the cynic in me agrees with the latter sentiment, it might not be entirely the case.
Still up in the air on the title myself though. Haven't seen much to be genuinely impressed with (and I'm pretty easy to impress), and the lack of beta information/news is a little disheartening, especially since they're apparently releasing in two months. Has anyone even played it at a Con?

im keeping fingers crossed on this one, if the PvP is that good, i may bypass getting GW2.. which will save a bit.. to be honest i'd rather play PvP in a none fantasy environment anyway, which is also why im hoping that all goes well for Planetside 2

This has been confirmed by Funcom as an INTERNAL PRODUCTION date.NOT a release date. But yeah , because twitter is the preffered release date PR avenue for major companies I can see your confusion.
1. It's Funcom so until you get a pr storm full of lies etc you know it's not the companies real release info etc.
2. It's Funcom so don't worry about competeing with Tera or any other game. It will be beneath them in playability , quality and design.
