Anyone high up leaving EA is a good thing if you ask me. That goes for the majority of MMOnstrosity corporations too.

Eric Brown, who has been EA's CFO since 2008, will become Polycom's CFO and chief operating officer starting on February 21.
EA has been shifting its video game business from games on physical discs to digital platforms in recent years. It acquired PopCap games in a deal worth up to $1.3 billion last summer.
A source close to the matter said that Brown was not pushed out and that he left for Polycom because he wanted a more operational role.
And? He got a job somewhere else. Why make something as normal as that into an anti-swtor troll thread?
"Brown's last day at the company will be next Friday, February 17. The following Tuesday he will start his new role as both the CFO and COO of communications company Polycom."

Sounds like he's simply moving on to me. Besides, if it was something product wise that investors were unhappy about it is normally the CEO that is asked to fall on his sword not the CFO.
CFOs usually get taken to task on bad investment or financial decisions such as mismanaging cash flow, mishandling loans, or inept forecasts.
1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical.
2. To posters feeling the need to state how f2p really isn't f2p: Players understand the concept. You aren't privy to some secret the rest are missing. You're embarrassing yourself.
3. Yes, Cpt. Obvious, we're not industry experts. Now run along and let the big people use the forums for their purpose.
someone making that much money a year who isn't ME is obscene.
There fixed.
I admit i could be wrong, but I'd be willing to bet things would look quite different seen from the other side of the glass.
As to a corp suit leaving, so what. Either he got a bigger better deal, was forced out quietly due to some type of disgrace, or deicded to retire and sleep on a giant bed made of money. None of that is going to change anything as one of the business school clones will step up to take his place.

No it's not, someone having that stated position is though.
I'd add the caveat that it's obscene for what he does...making video games. But then again I think a lot of entertainment professionals are over-valued and over-compensated, whilst the more important work in our society, like firefighting, police, and teaching, aren't paid enough.
Stock has taken a beating since the "good" news about TOR.
Ofc - a lot of pieces to consider, but overall you don't want the company that runs your MMO to be struggling.
Whar are you talking about. The stock dropped a bit, same as every other video game companies did after they released Q4 results. It was a bad 4th quarter all around. It also bounced back rather quickly when it was realize TOR beat sales expectations.

People that high up the ladder don't wear uniforms.. they are "above" that.
Everything creates huge amounts of negativity on the internet, that's what the internet is for: Negativity, porn and lolcats.

I'd agree however:
Sector: TECHNOLOGY / Multimedia & Graphics Software
Is rather telling given the graphics "bug" SWTOR has.
Just my 2 cents..........
It is obscene when there are people out on the streets who cant even feed themselves. no one needs that much money.
Always will be poor no matter how much $$$ you throw at them, don't derail the thread please.
who cares about this guy everyone that high up in the corporate world is a vampire anyway, they just take with very little contribution.
don't derail the thread please? haha says the person who originally quoted it. get off your high horse.

As to the OP? Molehill meat Mountain.
Stay on topic please.
