Just left WoW, but I am still kind of into but I can't stand the immaturity and stupidity of it. Can anyone tell me what to expect from DAoC?
Character Customization?
Grind? Quest? Both?
PvP?(good pvp is a must, WoW had lacklusting rewards for winning and weak and poorly skilled oppenents. at least tichordrius did)
Open PvP? Getting ganked isn't cool but I'll live with it
Overal game? Good points, Bad Points.

there are a lot of pet classes in DAoC, if you're into that. Just check out classesofcamelot.com for detailed descriptions on what they're all about and what spells they can cast.
There are indeed warlocks in the game, but I have no idea if they're anything like the WoW warlocks. Besides you would have to buy the Catacombs expansion to have access to the class.
I left WoW for DAoC about 4 days ago, and I'm just now trying to overcome this n00b sickness I got. I've only played runemaster to lvl 10 and a skald to lvl 5, so I don't know much.
I would think that a Bonedancer would be right up your alley, if you don't have Catacombs.
Maybe even spiritmaster.
From what I hear the warlocks in DAOC are very different than WoW. Can't tell you if any of the clases are like them, but DAOC has like 36 classes (maybe more I lost count).
Character customization? You get to pick a face, hair, eyes, and height. You can adjust certain aspects such as chin, lips, ears, etc. It is not the best out there for that. There are a wide variety of crafted, droped, and quested items. You have dyes for everything. So in terms of your outfit there are a huge amount of options.
Crafting=grind.
You can level by quests or killing. It is your choice. If you get the Catacombs expansion quests will level you very quickly. If you do not have it then, questing is an option but not as fast. You get a free level every 7 days as long as you have earned one level.
It is only open PvP if you play on the PvP server. If not then you can only kill realm enemies and they are only in selected areas.
You can destroy towers, siege keeps, knock holes in their wall, fight over bridges, fight from ship, fight in open areas, etc. It is generally regarded as the best PvP out there. You will not be able to get much into it until level 20 or so. Most people will not go out before then. You have level restricted areas called battlegrounds. These make it so you do not die in one hit from a level 50. Once you hit 45 the only place you can go fight the enemy is in the front. Which is huge - too big if you ask me.
When you kill other players you get money, experience, and realm points. Realm points raise you up to different ranks. These give you additional points to spend of gather extra skills. There are 12 ranks in all each with 10 levels to them.
I would suggest giving the game at least 1 month more like 2. Play a couple of different classes at level 20+ in the BG to see if you like them or not.
Character Customization is ok....not the best,not the worst,ive seen better,and ive seen way worse...overall...7/10...
Grind...there is kinda a grind at certain times....lvl 11 - 15 is kinda hard....but try to find a good group/guild,and thatll help....grind 6/10 (10 being hardest)
Quest.....good ammount of quest in this game...not always exciting...meh...6/10
PvP.......THE #1 REASON FOR THIS GAME!!Fun,Addictive,FUN!10/10....
Open PvP.....well,this is how it works...there are 3 Realms...in the beggining u choose 1...everyone n that Realm is a friend of yours....(well,not technically) but u cant attack some1 from the same Realm...so bassically,an "ally".Ok,from levels 1-15 your only able to be in this Realm (dont get me wrong,this place is huge and in kno way will u run outta places to visit)...but once you hit 15 then ur able to go to the Frontiers!!(oOOoOoH!) this is where PvP takes place....or more so RvR....This is were the waggin war between the 3 Realms is currently going on,and Battles are non stop!This area is open PvP.....Good luck,dont travel alone at low levels (or high for that matter),and be wise....
Overall game score.....once u get to the upper levels,theres plenty to keep u round......9/10!
