After 11+ days they answer my ticket with crap.

I get a premade message in my email saying they won't do shit. Been waiting since 2/2/12. [Mod Edit]

Ok, I'll bite since it's been the requisite 3.639 hours. What was the ticket about and why won't they fix it?

Missing items.. Got standard robo spam message and ticket closed. I got 10 or so days left on this trash heap and I will never look back at this game. I asked a friend the other night if he wanted to use the time and have my security key. You can't even give this pile of puke away now. Better off stomping it under a boot  after the incompetent customer service. 2/2/12-2/13/12 is pathetic.

Have you checked in the buy back section of a vendor?

Sounds like somebody accidentally sold something they didn't mean to. Too bad, so sad. It's hardly Bioware's fault you messed up.

11 days?  That lucky dude.  I waited exactly 1 month to get my ticket resolved.

Most of my items I get aren't worth enough for me to ask them to be replaced if I lost them.  What type of items you lose?  Haven't tried to get help so it does sound rather of a long time for them to respond at two weeks.

  • WellesWelles Member Posts: 66

Bought two items from champion vendor and they never showed up in inventory champ commendations gone though.. Final straw for me along with doing daily warzones and not getting credit.

Weird, I've had them do an item restore already.

You get 3 item restores every six months. It took them a while, and they have a stupid system butthey sure did restore the items.

I smell BS. You didn't feel the need to post what the actual ticket was about in the OP. I Know for a fact that they do item restores. Myself and more than one guildmate have all done an item restore, and had no trouble with it besides the wait. This post just reeks of bs to me. Especially since I know they can do this.

Here's a tip. Make sure you are putting it in the right category (items or something) and make sure you make it clear you want an item restored.

They will send you a response to the first ticket telling you to email them with details and a password. Then it takes a while, but they restore it.

They won't do it. Why I don't know as all I got sent was a robospam. I could care less about getting items back I knew when I wrote the ticket out and the way they handled my other tickets over broken quests not being to be completed I would see little to no action. Eleven days to even answer back is the main problem here. Its a failure of a customer service sysytem. Say you smell BS? I smell it too its the game's customer service its a steaming pile of it.

1-3 weeks was the average ticket response time for World of Warcraft when it launched as well.

I've done an item restore without any issues, it really doesn't seem like the OP is telling the whole truth. Things just don't add up.

Not everyone has the same experiences.

happened to me too, only that I had to wait a bit over 2 weeks.

What I dont get is this: It should be pretty simple and intuitive to write a ticket or report a problem, but it simply isn't. Why the hell do I have to tell the "system" the server Im playing on and character name? Shouldn't it be simple to track such trivial information? Doesn't the GMs or the stupid bot need this exact information to answer you?

well..like I said..waited over 2 weeks only to be informed that I forgot to mention my server and character name. updated my ticket and waited another 1-2 weeks...great stuff :>

I'm also not impressed with the support.

I had a moddable chest piece which I filled with the best mods I could get. I log in one day, and all the mods are gone. If I linked the item in chat, the mods would appear in the tip window when clicking the link in chat. If you look at the normal tip window viewed from the inventory or character window, the mods were not there. If you open the mod window, no mods. The first time this happened, I thought it was possible that I may have misplaced the mods or sold them on accident (I was pretty sure I didn't).

I am quite certain this was a bug in the game, because it happened 2 more times.

After the first time I experienced this problem, I sent a support ticket in order to report a bug. I didn't ask for my items back, I just wanted BioWare to be aware of the problem. I didn't receive a reply for several weeks, maybe almost a month. When I did receive a reply, it was a generic message giving me a list of details needed for restoring my items. I don't want the items back, I want BioWare to fix the problem. It's pointless to ask for the items back if a bug in the game is just going to cause the items to magically disappear again.

It is quite disconcerting to invest a great deal of time in obtaining good items, only to have them disappear. Not once, not twice, but three times.

They seem to have some serious issues on their end.

Earlier today I got an email stating that my account was suspended for a week because one of my characters was reported spamming in the chat on Feb. 13th, which is today.

The funny thing is that my account is inactive as I have cancelled it in January before my free month was up. The first thing I thought was that someone has gotten into my account and reactivated it. When I went to check, my account was still listed as inactive. My credit card information was still listed on the account so I even double checked with my credit card to make sure that there were no charges on it. There weren't.

So how can a character on an inactive account be spamming in chat?

I sent BioWare an email asking for clarification but I highly doubt that I will get a reply.

    I feel for you OP.

In all my experiences, Blizzard, Trion, CCP even the dreaded Funcom, I have received help in a satisfactory manner at the very worst (and in an amazing manner at the best).

Time and time again have I said that BioWare is Inexpertise HQ. They have been with their SRPGs (games filled with bugs, bugs that go unaddressed for years) and of course, this poor quality of theirs (technical inexpertise) is only magnified by the rigours an MMO brings.

    Pathetic!

Hopefully, you will have the mental fortitude to cancel for a while - show them with your wallet that their service is unsatisfactory - and hopefully return if they change their game for the better.

Thanks for the explanation, adding to personal list of reasons why not to play. Sorry for your trouble man, been there, but i'm glad there are people like you in the community willing to post about it to let everyone else know what's happening.

delete all your credit card info! It's just not the hackers who may get access of your account but I read here that BW (accidentally, I am sure) charged people even after they cancelled.

Hey, at least you got a reply of any kind.

Standard Proceedure for trouble tickets at Bioware:

Step 1.  Insert Fingers In Ears   (or if you're upper management, some other random orifice.)

Step 2.   Close Your Eyes Really Tight

    Step 3.   LALALALALALALALALALALALA

Yup, you're right about that one. It was supposed to be a 'bug' ... right, somehow it miraculously appeared at the end of free month.

I've made plenty of tickets, recently more out of curiosity if the support got any better ... but it's still absolutly THE WORST customer support I've met. I am seriously considering unsubbing because of it despite I like the game and enjoy it.

You know what types of bugs I had? No talent trees, no items recieved, stuck in air, broken quests and more. The thing that irritates me the most is that the response I get is usually 'yes yes, we know its a bug, we're working on it'.

Good, but in my ticket I've asked that gm would unstuck me, fixed my talent trees, gave the item back, delete the buggy quest from my log etc. They did nothing with those issues. Maybe I'm unlucky with the cs, but I call serious BS job there.

My favourite was at the beginning when the site didn't acknowledge my retail key. CS wrote that they'll issue me another one ... and the next msg I got from them was some random robot crap that wasn't related to my issue at all .... I've just 'loled in tears' there. For another two weeks I was explaining stuff, quoting original CS messages and so on, but I gave up. Hopefully retailer that I bought it from gave me a new key, despite they didn't have to, but after explaining in the store what I went through he said I'm not the first one, and many other people wanted a refund for this game.

This rant was longer than expected, but I am seriously amazed at the lack of any professionalism from Bioware CS.

So a warning to you fellow gamers, look out for CS in EUROPE - cause it all happened there, can't say for US brothers.

I heard about the accidental charges as well but thankfully it didn't happen to me.
