It might be too early, but does anyone have any idea if sites like IGN will be giving away keys for this next beta weekend?? I'm really on the fence about this game and don't want to pay $50 before I've even tried the beta.
If you pre-order with amazon you will get access to all the betas and not be charged until the game goes live. If you are unhappy with the game you can get a refund from amazon.
I am sure there will be beta key giveaways though but no one is certain yet as to which companies will be doing it.
All of these beta's up until the last one (per their schedule) are CLOSED. My guess would be no until closer to release. Because there isn't an NDA, I think this is mostly for word-of-mouth discussion.
There is a planned open beta though I'm not sure what the stipulations are.
My advice: Preorder (put 5 bucks down) at gamestop, get the code. Transfer that money to a different game if you don't feel it.
It's ok not to like a game. It's a bit early to join the hype train. Still lots left to see.
See I would go to Gamestop/EBGames and put down $5 to get a key, but being in Canada...I'm kind of in a jam. I've called 3 different EBGames locations and none of them even know that a Tera beta is happening...lol they know nothing of the keys. I have yet to check Amazon out.

Either way good luck!
I may have to give this a try, so I can participate and see how it goes.

Er actually, has anyone tested this? I'd rather not get charged for something I may not even like...

Amazon do not charge you until item is shipped. It has been their standard practice.
I preordered it, got my key and cancelled it after a few days.

Depends on what type of MMOs you like! I myself don't like the game and won't be playing it any longer after this beta weekend. Same as any other themepark MMO with different combat that isn't really all that great or unique.
If you like the standard themepark MMOs you will love the game.

Well i've always wanted a MMO like this, one with aiming. I hate MMO's like SWTOR and WoW where any old bad aimer instantly becomes a dead on lock (as thats how the aim works).

Fileplanet might give away keys again like they did with the first wave.
