Guild Wars is absurdly highly rated.. In my opinion, the game doesnt even classifies himself as a MMORPG.. because if he did, Diablo 2 should also be listed here >.<U

Guild Wars is free to play without any monthly fee.. But this means something!

Means that you will only be able to see and interact with other players inside towns.. if you go outside to lvl, you will only see your party members.. so, I think this says a bit about the game. Also, mostly who plays Guild Wars are kids. So, immature actions are a constant of the day there.

So, it's your decision. I prefer to pay a fee monthly (too expensive? stop smoking or dont drink coffee everyday, you'll see that in no time you'll have the money!). Final Fantasy XI is good for the series fans, it's hard to play but enjoyable to achieve something .. although there is no PVP .. only through a game called Ballista that is only for high lvl players bah ^_^ World of Warcraft by the other hand is too far easy to lvl but has a awesome concept of player freedom since you can jump, swim and interact with the world itself in various ways ^_^ also, WoW has the most awesome PVP system ^_^

Try any of these two is my advice. Avoid Matrix Online, it's too dull and boring. Ragnarok Online is nice, but its a botted world.. no fun. Or you bot or you can afford your equipment..

I bought guild wars and I have to say I wish I hadn't. It could be
slightly more enjoyable if you have a set group of friends to play the
game with, but you'll never come across other people outside of town
areas as the entire outside world is limited to instances containing
only your group, and NPC's. It does have very nice graphics, however,
which is it's only redeeming quality in my personal opinion.

The game seems to get pretty high reviews on this site, however, I
believe the lack of monthly fee influences that greatly. That having
been said, there are plenty of other mmorpg's out there that you can not
only play without paying monthly, but you can download for free as well
(I'm in the process of downloading Anarchy Online as I write this). None
of them really have the same quality of graphics as GW, but many will
    offer you more fun.

    Thats what I feel, anyway.

HAHAHAAHAHAHAhAha. If the GW community is full of kids, what is WoWs community then?? Full of babies??? PvP in WoW is fine, but imba... Shams and Palas are way overpowered. PvP is best in GW. No overpowered class, easy accessable, funny, if GvG it's mission based, fight with random selected or with a team you want.
Yes it's instanced, even though can be somewhat annoying, it keep the typical kiddie actions I've seen fra WoW out. Killstealing and camping to meantion some of it.
In GW there is no such thing as god items or god skills. Because of that, it doesn't help spending 500 hours to get a god character. A guy who spended 100 compared to 500 could just as well be stronger.

yeah this game is totally worth buying. it's capped on lvl 20 that's a big challenge. i totally regret buying this game. also Zeboath (if thats how you spell it) it doesn't take 500 hours to get lvl 60. it only takes about 60 or so. your a total noob if you say it takes 500 hours to get a godly character. guild wars is capped on lvl 20 don't waste your money on such a stupid and crappy game.

Every game is going to have its lovers and its haters.  Coming onto a fansite and asking is only going to get you very polar opinions.  You will get either the "OMFG get this game its the Bomb" or you will get "Dear god I wasted my money, everyone needs to quit the game because I didnt like it"

Someone above said that the game is populated by a bunch of kids, well I agree.  When you have Thousands of people in one area, you are bound to come across at least a few hundred.  Also the numbers have shown that GW's player base is actually that of 18-30 years of age.  Yes, when you go into a town you will get the anoying **********SELLING GODLY SUCHINSUCH**************** and the spammers that will not shut up.  Every time I go into a town, I turn off the local chat so I dont have to see that.

Alright lets get this straight, WoW has a really mature community if you play as the horde although not as many people play as the horde. When you buy guild wars you have to think of it as buying a normal game (like halo 2 or Fable) the game will not last forever. Once you get to lvl 20 there is only pvp which is fun for a while for some people and nor for others.

The earliest characters (on my WoW server) to hit 60 were a pair of shadow priests, stacking shadow damage debuffs, around 2 1/2 weeks after retail, playing around 20 hours a day. Even considering server downtime, that's around 300 hours, so 500 hours isn't an unreasonable estimate. 60 hours is unreasonable even if you took a week break after every few hours for the rest bonus.

Also, you're calling GW a crappy game because there are only 20 levels, but there's no customization within those 20 levels than WoW's 60. In GW, changing your attributes completely alters your skill bar, so even if you're you meet someone of the same class combination out of the 30-36 possibilities, you could be playing completely different characters. In WoW, changing your talent lines alters your abilities by 20-30% and changes your avaliable skills by +/- 1 or 2. The fact that there are shadow priests used as healers in WoW, but smiters aren't used for healers in GW, speaks volumes.
