I didn't read all the pages in this thread, but I think most of us came to the consensus that the people that review games are simply opinions and not meant to be taken to heart. They are based on personal experiences and views and some people tend to be more critical then others.. It's there job to point out pro's and con's of every game they test and give it a rating based on there understanding and experience. In the end, everyone should just test the game and see if they like it. There is an Open Beta in April. From there, you can find out if you will hate the game or love it. Personally, I'm loving it. Nuff said...
Lmfao Blitz that video you posted was too much, I want to punch him. He's got that city infront of him and he's complaining about the grass in one zone. What a fucking prick.
Also doesn't realize those are low res textures. To be fair though outside Velika's area is really bland, but I think it was intentional since people always duel there.
The stuff soem people complain about in Tera is hilarious compared to half the crap you see people complaining about in TO. Hell people are still disagreeing whether or not TOR is even a damn mmo. There are post crying about mob consistency and the goats do not go well with that area?
This is like derps crying their costumes were not flashy enough in Rift and then going to TOR and complaining the damn skills never worked. This CRAP is not a 1:1 ratio.
What does TERA do right? hmmz pvp is actually fun and a main focus it seems. How about the hard concept of the UI is customizable? How about the fact this game runs on a game engine actually new and not outdated?
one thing i know for sure these gamebreaker trolls will be on the first chair to play the game, they bash the game but you can see how they are getting addicted to the game, and after so many frustrations they will appear live on game to show how skillfully they are ^^ As everyone could saw they lack a lot of skill on those video
Judging the combat by lvl 3? You ding lvl 3 by the time you finish the first quest that involves any combat. So he killed 4 or so tree things. Maybe a couple of those elk things. Seriously? and you expect anyone to take anymore of your reviews seriously? He obviously went into it with his mind already made up and didn't even really try all that hard to fake a posture of objectivity.
All I know is that I enjoyed the hell out of the combat and I am not a console game player in any way. The combat actually made killing 10 rats, or trees as it were, interesting. My only concern for the game is that it doesn't encourage people to work together when they out not grouped. Lots of competition for singular mobs when needed for a quest. everybody just starts spamming skills hoping to get the credit. That kind of system doesn't encourage people to jump in and help others out on the fly. Other than that, I like virtually everything about the game and how it played. It is pretty solid.
Lore is a fool, most of Gamebreaker.tv are tards. Mike B is the exception when he is on but you can tell when he "has to go with it" like the rest of them.

chill man, chill. we can't be having no rational shit like this...let's all just lick gamebreaker's ass. they clearly are skilled, well respected individuals and many people care about their opinions. maybe TERA mobs not matching the scenery is very jarring and takes them out of the game, whereas SWTOR loading screens between zones have lore and stuff so they can stay into it.
Lore, during his live stream, said that tab-targeting mmo combat is much more challenging and fun than TERA's action combat (he was level 3 :P). He basically ripped the game to shreads the entire time I watched actually :P
Gary Gannon tweeted last night that he made it to level 11 and that's all he could stand.
Mike B aka Fony says to wait if you were thinking about purchasing.
Taugrim criticized the PvP aspects saying that everybody will make tiny characters for a smaller hitbox.
Hmmm...I don't know - I was thinking about getting this game - is it really that bad? I actually see quite a few folks saying it's pretty good. It's hard to tell the difference between the adrenaline and elation of a new game and what's really happening.
So essentially they judged the game at Deadmines and under, if we translate this to WoW standards. Uhhhh.... So yeah, I have no respect for any of these "gamers" if they judge a game that fast/early. If I judged WoW based on Deadmines and not the years of enjoyment I got out of the raids and PvP, that would just be idiotic and I think we can all agree on that.
The combat in TERA got VERY involved and fast-paced at level 20+ when you start doing BAMs and instances. Clearly these guys never even did any of that and are just interseted in bitching about the game. Not interested.

Thats exactly what I was thinking. I haven't liked Lore since I watched a couple of his weekly marmots. I get that he is completely invested in WoW. That is fine. I wish he could see that being that invested in one game also taints his opinions as a reviewer. You can't play both sides. Mike B is pretty good. I like his BFF reports and inside the fun and funny delivery he makes some really good points. Gannon is an annoying idiot in love with his own voice. The episode that Shaffnit did the other week so that Gannon could be gone was so much better. Shaffnit is both thoughtful and smart when he can get a word in edgewise before Gannon cuts him short. Shaffnit is too passive.

Not even deadmines. These guys never even got to goldshire from the abbey. Lvl 3! You fart once while the game is loading and you'll hit lvl 2.
Personally I don't care if their opinion is totally subjective and/or they hated the game for all the wrong reasons.
As a show however, they started good but somewhere along the line they had less and less to say and in order to cover the same amount of time they started repeating themselves again and again. In the end their show lost its appeal, not because their opinion didn't match mine, but because they artificially dragged a 30 mins discussion to 1hr or more.
I'm pretty sure they grinded past Level 3. You people honestly think someone is going to sit down and review a game in 10mins in front of bunch of folks and expect to be taken seriously? I understand why people might not like them, but to once again we have to go to the extream right and just start making shit up...
LoL..
I'm starting to weed through the folks around this site. Those who are somewhat legit when they post and those that are just half-bewildered in what to say when ever their fingers hit the keyboard. They just start blabbing one thing then some random Joe Tebow from nowhere picks up the ball and carriers it to the endzone of nonsense.
I know I heard them talking about how they level to around the Mid teens to 20's. Enough time to get the general feel for the game, you'll talk as though you expect them to give a full review on a fucking beta. Seriously, man.. Take what they say with a grain of salt.
PM before you report at least or you could just block.

They got to level 3 and made a review ... Where can i apply to become a interwebs game reviewer ???
well outdo them. let's review games we haven't even played. hell, we'll review game we that haven't even been announced yet.
