I thought Darksiders was pretty badass, grabbing a zombie's head and squishing it with one hand, totaly badass.
Not as bad ass as playing soccer with the zombie's heads in Blood )) Just look at the gameplay, if you wasn't the lucky guy who actually played it back when it was launched =;-) The link shows 1st level walkthrough - the morgue ))) lol
Infinite Space, anything from From Software (King's Field 1(2) all the way up to Dark Souls), NeverWinter Nights 2-Mask of the Betrayer, the entire God of Wars series, anytime I'm playing Guan Yu in the Battle of Fan Castle... man, there are a lot of games where you are supposed to feel "badass" and they come close, but have I ever felt like a badass during an MMORPG? That's hard because you aren't a badass in PvE if you are outleveling the content and you aren't a badass in PvP if you aren't outnumbered or if you are running around with a pocket healer. I don't think I could point to one. Not sure how DAoC got on the list... if all it takes is rampaging around as a viking, there are other games that do it better. When I played DAoC all I felt like was a bored ass.
Someone listed Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen. I LOVED that game! Soul Reaver was great as well, but Blood Omen... OMG! Part of it was the incredible voice acting--- the voice acting definitely leant itself to the overall feeling that your character was "badass".
I think the OP should write an article on the Five Games to Make You Feel Pathetic.
No. 1: Perpetuum: the bigger the robot you use, the more pathetic and and useless its capabilities will be. When you can finally afford a mech, it's like April Fools' Day - to begin with - you think it's a wind-up.
No. 2: - WoW: if you are a PvE fire mage. PvE solo fire mages die 85% of the time if just one extra monster is unintentionally pulled. This is because their gank was signigicantly nerfed ages ago - and of course, there is not enough CC or tank to make up for the shortfall.
No. 3: SWTOR - it requires too many hits with a cannon or a light saber to take down a target - even using the gankiest set ups. Also, the grav round sound affect just sounds bizzare - not powerful at all.
The only MMO where I felt as a bad-ass was DCUO. You can feel bad-ass in PvE - if there is a bad-ass plot. Playing evil comic character gives ultimate feeling of bad-assedness (especially if your mentor is Joker with his insane plots) - also DCUO featured sweet open world PvP and ganking - like hitting the low-levs with a truck. I mean it! It's not a joke - with a certain talent you can pick up a truck and just throw it to insta-kill the low levs. Lol. )))

If your looking for DAoC 2 in space take a look at Dominus. The focus is 3 sided PvP ala DAoC. Just entering beta with no announced release date yet.
the most unusual list ever
you're combining 5 totally different games, one of which isn't even that good (the one that's number one on the list)
I review lots of indie games and MMORPGs
My go to game for a bit of the old ultra-violence to make one feel like a badass was always Smash TV.

I'd say Blood and Dungeon Keeper are the two games, that should be fightning for the ultimate bad-assedness.

Awww, I miss DAoC in its hayday.

Feeling badass when you're completely nerding out on ancient games? Sure
Diablo is one of the best games ever made.
I'll 2nd that, in fact, few realize that it was credited with revitalziing what was considered a dying genre at that time, the fantasy RPG game.

Lmao loved the DAoC video. Playing DAoC sure did make me feel badass. So sad that the game has degenerated into nothingness.
The absolute best.
