Let's be honest. We all love to get 'secret' information. We all want that news that nobody's heard or seen yet. When people post videos and pictures labeled "leaks" we leap over to those sites to grab up the good stuff before it's taken down.
Suddenly a reputable website posts a leak, and suddenly it's:
A. Unprofessional for them to post it and disrespectful to the developer
or
B. Not a real leak because the developer probably gave them permission to post it.
I tend to vote on the "let's respect the publisher side" mainly because it encourages them to be more forthcoming with new information. Sites that fail to respect the developer's privacy probably won't get the cooperation that will help them to continue to give us the inside scoop of things.
I say - don't post leaks and let the publisher give us the info when it's ready to be released. What do you all think?

You do, maybe. Don't speak for the rest of us.
There isn't a "right" or "wrong" way to play, if you want to use a screwdriver to put nails into wood, have at it, simply don't complain when the guy next to you with the hammer is doing it much better and easier. - Allein

I don't generally follow leaks or search for them, but i think they are also essential if they are from players for example, and if they are true, because they give you a different perspective than the usual official previews that are mainly advertisments. Of course for many games there is an open beta at some point where eveyone can post their impressions, and then see if you buy the game or not. Of course many times people do not trust these impressions by others, and buy it anyway to try it. An example is swotr, where people from the beta expressed their oppinions, some of them giving a very decent review that as it turned out was spot on, but people of course cannot always count on other people's impressions, cause it's also about each one's cup of tea prefference.
