I hate that our most popular advocate plays Elin, causes a fuss sometimes. Thanksfully we always have Nalfen, our Human Warrior.
Yeah I've seen this video before, and when I put it on 1080p I instantly realize something is up or we don't know what the best settings are, because the game looks better in all the Korean videos, graphically.
One of the simpler, shorter dungeons it seems, but it is very pretty.
the next na beta test patch is ready to download. it will have high rez textures.
Ik but even the EU version doesn't seem to compare, I think I need to tweak with settings and graphics card settings to find this. I noticed lighting enrichment 1 looks better than 2, well atleast to me, made things sharper and less blurry.

i have it dl'd on my laptop so i dont get to look at it all pretty unless i find a secluded spot and stand still. it still looks better than other games i have on my desktop though.

(In NA at least) I don't think we're getting all the Hi-rez textures, just some of them. As far as the lighting enhancement goes, iirc, I believe setting 2 also includes some AA, which smooths things over, but could also cause an impression of blurriness.
Good video, does some justice to the combat system. Sometimes I think people go out of their way to find the slowest, most predictable, stupidest mobs to film videos of and share with everyone.
A Modest Proposal for MMORPGs: That the means of progression would not be mutually exclusive from the means of enjoyment.
I've run this instance a few times and its one of my fav. And the open world dungeon in which this instance resides is pretty kick ass as well.
Velika: City of Wheels: Among the mortal races, the humans were the only one that never built cities or great empires; a curse laid upon them by their creator, Gidd, forced them to wander as nomads for twenty centuries...
graphics still aren't that great. Putting high resolution textures on a a cartoony game doesn't make for good graphics, it makes for good looking budget graphics; and that's exactly what I see in the video. I saw nothing in that video that I haven't seen in modern MMOs. Yes I can say it looks better than the 2006 The Old Republic (but released for 2012 audiences), but it honestly is still in the same league.
I'm sick of these new MMOs coming out and they all look marginally better than WoW did during its first release. The only thing I did notice in the video is that Korean's know how to design their water.
Looks really fun and the setting is impressive. I like the encounters where bosses have a large group if minions, adds to the engagement factor and gives dps something more to do.
Healing must be a hell of a job without targetting.
Do healers heal AOE most of the time?
Interesting bosses, nice vid!
They have two types, a lock on painting type heal, where you place your crosshair over a player(or multiple players depending on the heal) and it directs a lock-on heal at them, or AOE ground heals. They cast the heal and it makes a circle on the ground, if you're inside the circle you get the heal.
Mystics also have the orbs they drop which are heals over time and debuff one harmful spell. However these moreso rely on the players to pick them up(I personally find this fun and more interactive as a dps).

Yeah but players move around, get behind other players etc.
How do you keep your crosshair on them. Cause I assume your heal will not be succesfull if you don't target the player at the end of the "cast", or animation.
Maybe i'm wrong but the way he explained it seemed to me like you would aim when you activate the heal, and it locks onto who you had targetted at activation, so you would need to aim for the friendly player to be healed still but at activation then it auto locks on while you cast it, thats the way I read it anyway.

You just drag your crosshair over them and they get painted, even if they move around they are still painted and the heal is locked on from that point.

There are several ways of healing, there are ofcourse big circles you put down which heals everyone within them, but theres also lock-on heals where you "paint" your targets and then heal then, I love the way healing works in this game so far, keeps me busy.
You get used both to the lock on and the AoE. Both have their uses, when you have more melee that stands in the same spot, AoE is better, when people run all over the place lock on is better. Lock on draws huge aggro though, so ...
After watching this video i mus say koreans have better graphics definaetly i have a top notch high end pc and when i max everything out it doesnt look like that.

I've got the straight edge.

Just not worth my time anymore.

Here is a nice video that explains how to lock on skills in TERA, works for both range and healers.
