Can't find any good games trough the garbage.

Is it just me or are there more people that are trying to find a game that they like but because companies release garbage its sometimes close to imposeble to find something that is worth playing for a while ?

its moreso nothing is good enough for us.
I have found plenty of good games. But then I don't expect a perfect game to play.
There's only so much you can do with the top genres without giving you a feeling you tried it before.
Stop complaining over a lack of good games and start making good games. That's what I did... well, or that's what I would do if I didn't have to put in so much work to be a jaded gamer.
there is plenty of good games but they aint coming from the big gaming studios.

Fps - crysis 2 or serious Sam 3
Action - arkham city
Sandbox - minecraft or terraria or s p a z
Arcade - binding of isaac
Best recent games I've played, what's amusing is only skyrim, arkham and crysis1 had a big budget
I saw Deus Ex 3 for 15 euro's now seems very good deal for a good game.
The Witcher 2 also very good game, i think also cheaper now.

I am back to playing Civ4, X3 and Skyrim.
It's funny how there are no games good enough for us these days, but when you look back at the 90s side scrollers like mario, or hack n slash like ninja turtles: turtles in time were amazing. We still have that image those games are fun. I think as a video game culture we might be somewhat spoiled. I believe its difficult to please us because there are so many games coming out, but if we were limited to mario, we would think of it as the best game. I mean, for all those MW3 haters out there, I'm pretty sure if this was the only shooting game, we would all enjoy it.
It's just there are too many similar games these days it is difficult for us to fine one per se we enjoy. It's hard to be inventive when most genres have been done. Until someone comes out with a new one I see ourselves being bored. Lets take example for Dub Step....for the longest time I thought Dub Step was a person. Didn't know it was actually a genre of music. It wasn't until recently it has become big, and probably didn't even start till the 2000s. When a new genre is born, everyone wants a piece of it and they don't find it boring because...well its new. so until something new comes out, we won't be having too much fun.
I joined a site that doesn't score the games out of ten but makes you rank them in order and it seems to have a good sense of what's actually good and whats crap. http://www.multiplayerreviews.com/
