So...is this a stress test of their email system or account system? I always wonder about the motive for doing things like this. Just curious. I'm happy, I got in really early and already got my confirmation email. I just wonder about the point of making it only a 48 hour window.

I haven't received my confirmation either and these are the EXACT questions that have been tumbling through my brain. It's excruciating.

I got my Guild Wars 2 confirmation email...took about an hour to get it.

I'd try and remain calm if I was you. Took about 6 tries before I could send the computer specs, keep crashing out, so I'd imagine theres a bit of a rush on
As for a confirmation I'm sure that'll turn up at some point, it's no indication you'll get in or when the beta is so try and keep your pants on eh? :P
Keep trying, guys! My first attempt didn't work, either, but just a few seconds later, I was able to upload my info. Chances are, their server is getting slammed. Don't give up!
I signed up like minutes after it went live, and had no problems with signing up. No error messages or anything. Was extremely smooth for me and both of my computers. Of course I signed up before it went viral, before it hit facebook, MMORPG, or any other site, I guess i checked GW2's site at the right time. Win for me!
Is noone else having problems with their Scannertron program? It isnt displaying my complete system specs but still allows me to send information (which i did) but i dont want that affecting my chances .

They twitted that you shouldn't worry about it. I'll paste the message below:

I bet they have a laugh when they see the scabby PC I use. Well, at least I tried
Or you could be someone they want to test on. Maybe see how it runs on a low end. Ya never know.
That's what I was thinking. Maybe I should have dusted off my old P2 desktop/doorstop to submit my app because my regular rig is pretty common. Then again, I might have had my fraud exposed when I actually tried to play. ArenaNet is kind of sharp, so I guess ultimately, it's not worth the risk. Better to just play the lottery like everyone else.
