I played at launch, just returned for the F2P. I played for a day and subbed for the month! This game has come a long way since launch and it is the best F2P model I have played to date (I subbed to give them the cash for a job well done)

There is a steep learning curve and the game play takes a day or so to get used to but this game has something for everyone.

-Sandbox environment - yet has quests and NPCs

-Very deep crafting system

-Combat is not target and mash keys, very fun and challenging.

-MASSIVE  game world.

-Not instanced

-Completely open class system - be what you want, whatever you want!

--Graphics are ass good if not better than SWTOR, LOL.

-The population at lower levels is HUGE! (not sure about higher, haven’t gotten there yet)

-And much more!!

I am glad I decided to come back and check it out. Everyone should at least give this game a try. In my opinion, it meets the mark of a game that the player becomes completely absorbed into the game world.

What do the rest of you guys think about the game?

Yeah FE is a pretty good game, it's nice to seem some positive posts on this site :)  enjoy for a long time :D

  • ExpiryExpiry Member UncommonPosts: 76

Yup, It has great reviews, 8.2 from members and 8.0 from MMORPG.com. Thats at the top of the list.

it is a niche game so I can understand why its not a blockbuser but I think a lot of people have never heard of the game.

    Lets get the word out!

I really enjoyed this game but the faction grind drove me away. Do you still need to cap all 6 factions in order to get the maximum amount of skill points?

I sit on a man's back, choking him and making him carry me, and yet assure myself and others that I am very sorry for him and wish to ease his lot by all possible means - except by getting off his back.

I came back for about a month and sorry to say I am leaving again.  I too played at launch and left after, disappointed.  I found alot of the same issues that I saw at launch and frankly I find the combat a bit clunky.  Pathing of mobs still needs work, over population and insta spawning of mobs in areas make missions difficult to complete without going thru 1000 bullets.  I so want a sandbox (non-space combat) game, but I guess Ill have to wait a bit longer.  Anyway for those that enjoy the game, best of luck and have fun!

Nope. This is long gone apperantly. I just recently started and had read about his. But this ain´t in any longer. So no flipping sides needed to get all the AP etc. And I´m loving the game alot. Just signed on for a Commanders Account 3 months. So I went "all in" for 3 months at least. :P

if only it was more polished. Ui comfort and handling are bad. melees slide around your , ranged fighters have to guess where your target is sometimes. Zombie slides up to you in 2 seconds and you might as well just hit him with an axe  20m away. Unless hes standing actualy behind you...

I loved Fallen Earth, I relly did enjoy my time in the game, but since they switched to Gamers First, and now have the $30 a month commander Sub, I just find it to expencive to play...

I know you don't have to pay the $30, there is the free and $15 bucks a month options, but I feel like I am missing out if I don't pay the $30, so I just don't play it at all anymore.. .

Great game though, and Everyone should try it at least once... :)

Yeah, but it's a he'll of a lot of fun.... And it is one of he better mmo's out here. Good times. Minor issues, just like every game.

They have Commanders on sale now for 20 a month, and even less if you signup for 3 months or more.

    My issue was one:

It's a completely solo game. You won't group, you don't need to group and your contact with other players for anything will be non-existent. I liked the game, but not to play alone, there isn't even people in chat, so as far as im concerned, you're playing with NPCs.

If they made it more social, perhaps with some social hubs and player towns perhaps, then perfect game.

Well I wouldn´t have lvl to where I am without grouping up as much as I´ve done. And the clan I got in is very active, and seems here are alot of active clans out there. The good thing with the game is that you CAN do it solo as well, but it will take you alot longer. Especially if you wanna do a crafter as well. So, I´m not getting the whole "completely solo" game, when I´ve been grouped more or less from the get go...

FE is NOT P2W... The best things in game are the things players make. It´s mostly fluff sold in store like XP-bonuses, Cloths, mounts etc.

    Awesome is right.

My buttocks hurt from sitting too much and playing this game. (Still only lv 35, but so much content).

Nice to see it has recovered since a so-so launch. I enjoyed playing it for a few months but then the grind and horrible lag in towns started to wear a bit thin. I particularly enjoyed the crafting! Might have to give it another look...

I played during Beta and had a so-so experience but since I decided to re-visit it about a month ago I've been really impressed.  I've always been a sucker for a good crafting game and Fallen Earth is really holding my attention.  I can only play occasionally now, but in a couple of months from now I'll be subscribing and spending some quality time in-game.  I'm glad to see that there are other players that feel the same way I do about this gem.

What do the rest of you guys think about the game?

While FE isn't a bad game, some of this information is misleading.

FE is NOT a sandbox, it's a themepark with delusions of sandbox grandeur.

Crafting is quite good, but it's far from "very deep". SWG's crafting makes this game look like the idiot uncle.

Graphics are not that good compared to most recent mmorpg's, this game is not new and it looks dated.

Lag is a problem in built-up areas still.

UI is still clunky and annoying.

The population at lower levels can be a problem, it means the quest spots are overcrowded with a serious lack of mobs and spawns and it often causes arguments.

The class system is good, the open world is great (very few mmorpgs have this nowadays).

It has progressed quite a bit since launch and for a F2P it's worth a look, but it's not going to appeal to everyone.

Expresso gave me a Hearthstone beta key.....I'm so happy :)

So i read this post and descided to give it a spin.

There sure is a lot to like in that game and it truely had me going... Great crafting, Super class buildup, cool individual looks and things like that...But.

The lag.. the disconnects.. just made me frustrated to the point where i stoped injoying it.

Worst of all though for me was the 5 sec delay on everything. It takes 3sec to start mounting your horse and then another 5 to actualy mount and It takes 5 - 7sec to harvest anything..

This crap just made me twitch and after a few hours i just didnt want to dismount to pick up stuff. remember you have to run back to your horse...

Im all about immersion but this game just slows you down to a pace where it stops being funny.. (for me at least)

If i understood it right, they did this so they could charge you money to harvest and mount faster... well f... that.

This game could be great from what iv seen but for it to play properly would cost me the price of 3 AAA mmo's, and i dont think its worth that much. i meen they have a 30 dollars monthly fee if you want the best (and who doesnt want that?) Even with 30 buck a month you still need to buy gathering boosters cus they only last 1 hour.. Naah GamersFirst made this gem into a whoreing money grabber.

Sorry for the downer post, but im just frustrated that a seemingly good game is only playable for the rich or very patient people, and i guess im neither.

If the mounting speed and harvesting speed and occational dc/crash isn't turning you down, this game is well worth the test:)

There is a massive influx of new players atm which causes a lot of lag in the starter zones, but you can be moved by a GM (yes moved to another location with no lag and often better quests).  Anyway i have no problems with lag or clunky interfacing (EU player). Maybe some ppl are just unlucky.

I agree its a game that doesnt quite know what it is.  Everything surrounding the mechanics are great with the game..Awesome lore/ip good setting...i use to love the character comments...all was good with this.

Mechanics were the problem.  Goofy skill system that was both limiting and confusing...confusing is good when there is complexity..this wasnt complexity however.  The faction based skills based on quests...which was magic skills...something that wasnt fitting of this game was a poor choice (opinion)...since this was a game you could really mess up your character and quests matterd in terms of what faction you gained with...which related to what magic skill you got...was a huge turn off.

As was the endless amount of quests.  Some offerd vital AP points...some didnt...some offerd at the end of the chain..some didnt.  With so many starter areas and so many quests...and with higher level players comming back for AP...it became less fun than doing my starter area, progresssing as i saw fit, and moving along with the game...since building your character was dependant on wading though the sea of quests for those AP points.  When i played there was a short list of quests that offerd points...but it was incedibly painfull to keep track of.

In the end it was the combat mechanics that tipped me over...for a game that would have been great for pvp...despite their attempts to make it more pvp based...combat was terrible.  It was incedibly expensive to waste ammo on pvp...melee had...for some reason,....a big advantage (as well as being cheap to fight with) but also the worst combat mechanics in the game.

Its not a bad game...it just a game that doesnt seem to have a vision on what it is and what it wants to be...it just wants it all.  Now that it sold its soul to a F2P casino...not sure ill ever set foot in the game again.  Well if it turned out to be buy to play or something along that line i would possibly return.  However everyone says combat mechanics are just as clunky as they origionally where....

Did they ever flesh out the factional magic and quests for AP yet?  Or is that still a big pain?
