    Accually my roommate and I are beta testing for FFXI... i can assure you its not like any MMORPG i've played... the broadened range of charater creation is impressive.  You dont have a set class... you can change to what ever you want at any time and back again.  There is a storyline. that you can either follow or chose not to.  The storyline of course for roleplayers, and the pvp and such for the non-roleplayers.  eitherway i am in love with the game.  Let me know if you have any specific questions.

    i just have to say the graphics are AMAZING... i sat in the harbor and watch the airships land for hours... watchin the rippels in the water come to shore when the boats landed....and for charaters, well lets just say i never really got "excited" from looking at computer charaters... the charaters in this CHANGED MY MIND... thank you square... the chicks with the cat tails are FRIGGIN HOT. and trust me im 24... i go to bars all the time... i own my own business, im not hurting for dates to say the least... the models are IMPRESSIVE....i've got to go log on real quick to look at my charater again....

    I forget what it stands for,  but it's a legal contract you must "sign" saying you won't talk about the BETA,  that's why you need to be 18 years old.

    It's all legal mumbo jumbo.
