I dled this game the other day and I am now playing its, its pretty cool and it seems fun, pretty easy in the beginning but alot of cool animations and graphics. Reminded me of runescape or RO.

Id download it but here is my gripe with free games and Im just about in the mood to start a whole separate thread on this idea.
Free games are spamfest games--no one listens.
No one helps---everyone spams there crap.
Knight online was like that....RYL1 was like that...and I cant get past the unpolished FREE quality of the game.
If i had the money--Ill tell you what Id play and most likely get into in a heartbeat
Asherons Call 1. I tried ac2...but not a soul around and I just didnt care for the style of it. Ive tried knight online, ryl1 and I even have a free trial to The Saga Of Ryzom but I couldnt get into those games. Saga of ryzom just a bit too high of sys requirements for me to enjoy.
So why shoudl i download this game---

Cmon sell me and everyone else on this game your reccomending.
Just cause a game is free isnt enuf reason for me to play it--even with my phat cable connection it still takes a decent amount of time to download a full game and patch and install.

For any and all that may wanna play--it takes forever to download. Not because I have a slow connection because I can easily download on average 350-650kb a sec....but the fastest Ive been able to download is 42kb. Hope its worth the time--Im looking for something that grabs my attention more than wow--so tired of the wow grind ugh.
Sick of WoW grind? Does it have one? WoW is the complete opposite of hardcore isn't it? I see many people have already hit the cap and are getting bored.

I've played Conquer Online... it was fun for about a week. There wasn't anything to do except lvl up... I'm the kinda person that likes crafting skills. Unfortunately, the only thing they have in this game besides fighting is mining (but that gets boring in a while). I played this game a couple of months ago (when it was still a beta), and there were heaps of bugs and glitches. There were some quests that were pretty fun. You can also own your own house and get married. You can always give it a try if u want...

For starters-- Conquer is the suk--how can you people play those cheesy @$$ games.
I guess if your really into Runescape style--then this type of game is great for you.
I still hold my original opinion that free games are free for a reason (AO of course doesnt count)
As far as WoW having a grind--yes it does. Im sure its not as bad as Lineage 2, but any game imo shouldnt take you months and months to get to max lvl. And a grind imo has nothing to do with whether the game is hardcore or not. Shadowbane didnt have the worst grind but the game was hardcore.
Online games have a grind because the developers have no immagination.
Thats there main tool to keep people interested and playing.
Like the poster above said, 1GB for a 2d game? wtf is that? If your looking for free online games, your probably either broke as hell (no pun intended) or your comp sucks. and if your comp sucks, you cant just throw away 1GB like its nothing. Also, i cant get the bastard to run. It freezes at the loading screen.

If you PvP you'd best consider playing soon and getting the new expansion from www.EBgames.com so you get a PREORDER key... Turbine did osmething a little stupid and gave a 10% bonus health gem with the PREORDER... so now once their gone, no one will buy their game because they'll never be effective in PvP. 10% health is a BIG Advantage in PvP.
Actually, 2D graphics take up more space in memory. With 3D file formats, all you're saving is a linked list of X/Y/Z corodinates along with U/V texture corodinates and tags to the textures that need to be loaded into the graphics memory. With 2D, you're storing a really big, 8 to 32 bit array of pixels. And since Conquer doesn't use tilemaps for it's backgrounds..... You get the idea.
