i think this game will rock. i only post on games i like and this will be one of them. dont care what anyone says tell me this say that dont give a dam i am going with it like it or not. everyone that is going to play the game hope to see yall there one day. and for everyone that is not good by and good luck in what ever you play
EQ2 is crap, trust me, after a month is gets old. Plus this game is still in early testing, why should they get their forums/community relations up this early? Its not due out till x-mas or early next year.
Hot damm....someone that actually KNOWS what PvP really is supposed to be! ((Here's your cookie)) Only idiots (yes I mean that) like the PK player. Nothing difficult about hiding in the shadows ganking toons. That's just nonsense....like I said, it's for IDIOTS. (wipe that drool you fool) Now, about THIS game....too bad it's an NCSoft creation. I won't be playing it. The taste they left in my mouth with Lineage 2 was enough for me. I swear off all games that fly under the NCSoft flag. Too bad. (lol)
Who is the idiot lol mostly carebear whiners:P But on ncsoft your right hehe:P
Back to that old thing....if you don't like moronic PKers you're a carebear. Lol, that's bullshit. I like PvP in a consentual form, seiges, duals, or specific areas where you KNOW if you go into it to complete a quest or something you MAY end up facing someone unexpectedly. That's more fun than a dumbass with one shot kill capability that deleveled to 4 from 40 hiding behind a rock waiting to get a good shot at your back.....
Anybody that adores ganking is just a low IQ'er. Any game that allows it isn't one worth playing. I need more in a game than mindless killing by 2 year old brats and Columbine wannabees..
K-Mart merging with Sears? ----=== ROFL ===----
I dont adore ganking but Guildwars ARENA pvp and WoW arena pvp is crap. I either want complete free for all or the Realm Vs Realm style of Dark ages of Camelot. That was some great pvp. Big huge area, keeps to take/protect and a castle to defend or take. DAOC =great pvp.
Oh and as far as this game being a game I will "definitely play"--Ill just say this, It has alot of damn competition. There is a plethora of good pvp based mmos on the horizon.
I will most likely be givining this one a shot, I like what I've read about it so far, curious to see how the combat works with it's FPS style.
As to PvP personally I prefer to leave it in games like PS (which I stil love playing) and BF2. Problem with most non-FPS style PvP is the person with the best gear or pimp class wins, too easy. But it's easy for the companies to get round they just have PvP servers and PvE servers.
Originally posted by BartDaCat It's too soon to tell. Granted, Richard Garriot's name is being touted left and right, but I'm skeptical after that bit of news about the lead programmer and artist leaving the project. It sounds like this one might be hanging by a thread with all the hype being built over WoW and EQ2. It's odd, I've never been hinged on so many different choices before, it's like sensory overload. There's GuildWars to consider as well, and I've recently discovered EVE Online, which I have to say is one of the most breathtaking games I've played in a while. I am definitely curious about this one, but with the recent bad news, and the lack of in-depth information or details about this game, it's hard to say. I'm hoping all the hush-hush isn't a sign that it might get scrapped, but more of a sign of keeping something good under wraps.FFXI: Tarutaru WHM/BLM DAoC: Inconnu Necromancer/Avalonian Theurgist EQ: Froglok Paladin/Vah Shir Shaman CoH: Technology Defender
Personally I think Richard Garriot's name is being thrown around 'way' too much. He's already went from UO to Lineage and now to Tabula Rasa.
Well, NCsoft has come out with a nice amount of good games (GW, CoH, ect.). When I look at it I think it kinda looks like a cooler version of anarchy online. Personally, I'm all in. Can't wait till open beta
For me, it is one of three candidates that could replace good (and sometimes not so good) old Neocron. I'm looking for something that is as FPS-ish as Neocron or more, but with the gameplay depth of a MMORPG. Exploring, collecting ressources, roleplay, crafting...
Tabula Rasa could be the one, but Fallen Earth and Twilight War are also in the running. And I don't think I will play multiple games in parallel. At some point, I will choose one and that's it.
From the trailer I saw of ingame footage, I think it's awesome...It could be really immersive...If it's going to be as easy to find a team as in COH, I think it'll be extravagant...(I prefer fps more than auto locking they have though...)
Garriott & Starr Long are heavily invested in the development for this game, and they've got a big development group working every day to make it happen--I'm absolutely convinced that TR is going to emerge as another great MMO title--hopefully in 2006, HOWEVER--I find it refreshing that Destination Games is truly focused on TR as a creative endeavor instead of a profit/deadline gig. Unlike a bunch of large big-name studios, they don't want to put out a peice of junk game with a moviestar wrapper on it. They are taking their time and doing it right--if nothing else, the huge retooling/direction change prior to E305 proves that. I'm sure that wasn't an easy path to take. Have no doubt: TR will be amazing--and knowing NCsoft, it will be largely bug-free come launch time!
As for the lack of communication--I agree with a few other posters who prefer that focus be directed toward the development of the game first. If DG had stuck with the original vision of TR, I bet the forums would be up by now and the launch date would be more certain. I've also noticed that NC tends to lag just a little when it comes to initiating player relations for their titles in production. I'm betting forums and such will become a focus in early 06 (any takers on that??)
Speaking of predictions, I wouldn't be surprised if we see at least one more bump of the launch date, maybe more. And I, for one, am glad. DG is determined to release a great game and they aren't going to stop short of that due to budgets or deadlines or any of those annoying issues that have doomed so many other titles in the past.

This game looks AWESOME. I seem to be a real fan of NCSoft lately. I'm in love with all of their games.

Well, Richard Garriot I heard is working on Tabula Rasa from reading about it in PCGamer but other than that.. me neither, haven't heard much details.
Personally I think Richard Garriot's name is being thrown around 'way' too much. He's already went from UO to Lineage and now to Tabula Rasa.
Don't forget... the project manager/designer "Richard Garriot's" had the main influence on
"Ultima Online"
I'm highly excited about this game, but i agree they should have set up a board or something where some things could be asked etc.
I did signup fore the newsletter, so lets just pray
Ill be playing simply because me and my guild after being in a pvp focused game for awhile are looking for somthing more tailored to pve and content.

It'll be worth the wait, whatever the case!
