EverQuest Online Adventures: Closing Down March 29th

Sony Online Entertainment has announced that operations for Everquest Online Adventures will cease on March 29th. In addition, Cosmic Rift, Infantry and Star Chamber: The Harbinger Saga will also be closed. Players will be given a free three month gold subscription to EverQuest and EverQuest II that will go into effect on March 16th.

Each of these games shares a special place in both ours and our players' hearts. This is not an easy decision, but there comes a time when it's best for our developers to move on to the next adventure, and that day has come.

We would like to thank our players for their loyalty and for sharing the good times on these games. It's been a blast. And we hope to keep gaming with all of you in our other great games here at SOE. Let's keep pushing the boundaries of MMO gaming together!

    Closing infantry? wow.. the only game worth a cent on sony.. Not like they develop it.. problem is they let it go to shit.. :/

    Maybe someone can buys it and do it some new justice

    Prob freeing up man power for there 2 major upcoming games planet side 2 and everquest Next (currently named atm)

    Everquest online adventure its a different game than everquest, its the PS2 version of everquest

    Loads of people still play. I was on last night and castle lightwolf server was packed.

    EQOA is still loved and played by lots of people. The thread on their forum is pretty large for a community that has been written off as dead.
