This game has now surpassed AION in the West for me.
AION's people refused (more like ignored the beggers) to create multiple server types and couldn't be bothered to change a couple of things here and there to accomodate for that server type.
I like the RP community the most, on any game that I play.
Didn't even knew tehre was an RP community until i started following Tera. Its interesting, definely think i'll check it out when i have time ^_^ Feel like a great place for me when i have free time =D

Shame I am not considering buying the game, since GW2 is launching the sameish time...
Pretty cool. Most games seem to have unofficial RP servers though. I was considering getting Tera, but the crappy character customization and the quests just suck. I mean seriously, why do we need 18 different pale skin options and zero dark skin options for most of the races. Those quests were the final nail in the coffin though. they should have spent their time redoing the quests rather than ruining the Elin
I don't see GW2 coming out for at least 3 months minimum, 6 months more like it. They haven't even shown the whole game to the press, with two races missing (let alone doing an open beta for the actual customers). Asura is most likely getting some kind of overhaul and probably so does Sylvari. Looking at how Funcom rushed a bit the launch of their game to coincide with early summer, I'd put GW2 launch by the end of summer and away from two other MMOs launch, to increase the impact.
I'm sure NCSoft is doing their best ot try to screw with Tera as much as possible which would explain their rush to get GW2 out.
Hello, a noob question what is RP Server ?
RP stands for roleplay. It usually involves more in-character gameplay, a stricter naming policy and a more mature audience.
As for now they won't do anything with name due to open beta and launch. But later on they are going to basically look at all the name in RP server to make sure they work. Also you basically create a profile for your character and you have to act according to that character rather than yourself. You have to talk in certain ways and act in certain way according to your character. It does require a much more mature audience as you can't do whatever you please. Although i don't see that as a bad thing because its almost troll free.
Sure, as long as the roleplayers are less braindead than the ones on the TOR servers. If the only chat going on is players asking how to use the controls and where to find quest hubs I'm just switching back to a straight up PvE server.
Agreed. I dont understand why any online game gets released without different kinds of servers, it's propably the esiest way of getting extra customers and keeping people happier. I hate it and often skip games to begin with if they force only one/wrong type of server.
