Pre Order question

in TERA

Is it only the main website pre order that lets you get into all the CBTs, OB etc or can I go to my local gamestop and preorder from there. I just hate to fork up 50 bucks when it has not even launched yet, or don't they charge you on the main site?

    if you go to a retailer they will have a beta key for you.

    If you order on the website you will have instant access to download. Also if you don't like the game, you can always cancel your order. It may be harder to return used media to a brick and mortar store. I don't know, but it may be worth it to make sure.

    Amazon has keys for all events and they don't charge until the game ships. Best bet IMO if you're not sure but want to try it out.

    Just not worth my time anymore.

    Ya i was also gonna suggest amazon. Im about to pre order from them as well. Tera has me interested. So the beta testing is just weekend events correct?

    I ended up getting a preorder through Gamestop because Amazon didn't get codes until a day after CBT1 started.  My Amazon key I...um... yeah my friend is getting TERA as well image

    Just not worth my time anymore.

    Nice. My character in the guild is iamhewhoisnot. Say hi next beta. I'll be leaving the starter zone for the first time on the PvP server. :D

    I saw someone post earlier that your characters dont get wiped from beta? Is this true? Or is it just going to have an early access stage?

    it goes like this

    CBT-->Wipe-->name reseveration for thos who pre-order-->OBT--->Head Start-->Launch

    So all character in OBT will roll in to launch. This is an incentive to people who try OBT to buy the game because they keep their OBT progression.

    I think I mentioned in another thread that they were not going to wipe during beta. I thought it was for CBT as well. My mistake. Thanks Rex for correcting that.
